I see you point but there are uses for flying after you get it.
Imagine not having it in Legion or WoD and there is something of value in one of those xpax you need or want? Yet you still have a ground mount?
But like I said I understand your saying it’s not as useful for current content because you have already completed most of it.
Evidently they are going back to revamp the 1-50 experience, which is arguably the worst part of it.
I mean, I do have all the previous PF and I still go to Legion a LOT because one of my goals is to get every single class hall mount. But BFA doesn’t really have any replay-ability like that so it’s harder to get motivated to get flying.

I have part 1, but am just not motivated to do part 2. I try to like the zones…now im just trying to figure out what i am supposed to do.
Try picking one character as your “Pathfinder Main.” All you have to do with that character is the daily emissaries. Don’t worry about farming all the WQ’s for each faction. It’s okay to do extra WQ’s if they’re ones you really like or just feel like doing that day, but mostly just do the the three or four emissary quests (to avoid burnout). That takes about 20 minutes to half an hour (assuming you have the flight whistle and FPs).
Then you can do anything else you want on any character you want. That’s how I got Pathfinder without getting too bored. (I’m an altoholic and love to play lots of characters.)
Kinda. All I have left is rep. And this toon is the farthest along in that grind.
Never mind that my “mai” would be my mage. I have resorted to logging in on warrior and grinding out any quests for the reps I need, then going to my main.
Apparently WoWhead Pathfinder api’s offline at this particular second, but I’m 3 reps, 1 loremaster and who knows what short of getting PF1. Yippee. 13 months of no sub time, the time that I did have sporadically filled with deciding how to make money (before max level) and trying to manage 8 realms. Currently, just using my weekly’s to barge into ICC for Invincible, because I’m not looking forward to grouping the raid when Shadowlands launches.
So I recently resubbed after stopping before BFA was released and I started working on my flying immediately. I have been playing about a week and a half-2 weeks (can I see my played time outside game?)
I have everything done except rep (of course) and the only rep that is way behind is Mechagon (of course) and even that will only take a MAX of 12 more days so basically in 3-3.5 weeks doing all the main and war campaigns quests and doing WQ’s each day and some dailies I will have opened flying.
I really don’t consider 3-3.5 weeks THAT bad, but I do wish it was not needed.
Don’t feel bad. I have never got PF even once since Blizz implemented it.

What’s driving me nuts is I hit 3000/21000 for proudmoore admirality pretty darn quick…and now it has just plain died. Yes I will get the emissary once a week for 1500 and the occasional assault for 500, but dang if it is going to take me forever to unlock Kul Tirans while Dark Iron dorfs took me like 5 days…
I don’t either. Nazjatar and Mechagon is just so mindnumblingly boring. I’ll keep chipping at it though. -_-
I did it during Holidays with all the reputation bonuses. Feels great to finally be able to fly.
The only Pathfinder I don’t have yet is the WOD one.
I’m in an identical boat. My projects now are to force this character to unlock flying and slowly allied races even though I’m not playing them just so the option is there and prep for shadowlands hoping the class change brings back the shaman I loved or other classes. Really hoping for new allies races for alliance like lightsworn undead I want to play alliance but can’t find a race I’m content with. Just dont set a time frame and do your best to unlock stuff before shadowlands to avoid burnout.
People are usually saying this about me having 3 children 5 and under.
I also have 3, but one is out of the house, the other two are 12 and 15. But yes, you still have your hands full!! lol
Ehh, it is for people coming back late to an expansion, but you get all of the reqs literally just by playing the game.
They need to tweak rep gains (WQ are atrocious) to streamline it a bit more, but really, just by doing something you would normally be doing anyway you get flying.

Not my fault. I had to do everything to get flying, only to have nothing to do once I got it.
Get 10k more rep for gold? Yeah no thanks.
