I always seem to get most of the PF without even trying to get it.
I guess if you don’t really like playing the game it does become harder to get.
Thing is you can still do every single bit of PF content with flying and it would be better. Or novel concept here, you could choose to do that content on a ground mount and have the exact same experience doing that content while I could have my flying. Wouldn’t affect you in the slightest.

Same here, but it’s not game ending to me, the way some in this thread talk about it though it makes me question humanity as a whole. There is one in here who refuses to sub til pf2 comes out and still bought the expansion, when they full on know there will be pathfinder once again. Or even better those who have not played retail since WoD and sit Shiva in forums expecting it to change, some have literally been posting about it for just about 6 years now.
I see flying as a bonus. The game can be played without it though, I do wish when we finished pt1 that we could fly in those zones though. I don’t want it removed for people who don’t want to bother experiencing the content as a whole, which really is the reason we have pf in the first place.
I will be the first to admit I always unsub at the end of the current expansion and I don’t play again until flying is available, but I am aware I need to do the PF1 and PF2 before I will be able to fly.
I just refuse to pay them when they won’t allow me to fly.
I know my sub means nothing, but I used to buy every deluxe edition and prepay for a year as well as buying cosmetics from the store, and they lost all that when they time gated flying behind PF.
I enjoy PF but again, the stupid time gate is what drives me away.
Well the lead dev of WoW doesn’t have PF. Does that mean he doesn’t like playing the game or it is hard?
Serious question.
Because PF is a poorly designed system for new or returning players while collectively punishing existing players that play the way they want. PF arm twists people to play a narrow way which isn’t healthy or conducive to a long term replay value of the game.
God forbid an aspect of this game is more important to some people than you.

I am … only partial in the same boat. I do have Flying … but that’s because i choose one toon to do it and pulled through. Since you not need to run M+ or Raid this can be any toon, as long as u run the treadmill World Quests, Daily Quests, Emissaries … so fun 
.
Also i was never the person to only play that one Class … it is just too much fun to see the other Classes.
That said … The past Xpacks since MoP made it harder and harder to even have fun with alts.
Now in BfA its the tip so far for me. Since Blizzard killed off Conquest Points literally no one runs Heroic Dungeons anymore, unless they are gearing up, run Time Walking or try to farm that Mechagon Rank 3 Essence that its. The only two things being run is Mythic + Keys and Raid.
And for those two … there is a hefty daily grind … required to even just function.
For starters you have to get Essences, even if you skip the PvP ones … the other ones require World Quests, Daily Quests and thus daily chores. Now we have Corruption … which is RNG if you get an Corrupted Item … and then RNG what the Corruption is and RNG … which Tier the Corruption is … that is so much RNG that the one and only thing you can do is just keep Farm M+ Keys … and hope for the best.
Raids and Weekly Chests are on a hard cap anyways, but i bet a M+ item of 465 with a really good, Tier 3 Corruption can make a difference.
But am i the only one here? I play BfA since launch, played a handfull Toons each Season in M+ keys and one or two in Raid … the M+ Content starts to superbore me. The Modifiers are the same (yeah the combinations might not be, buh) … and that new shiny +10 and higher Modifier while ok, doesn’t force me off my seat.
Bob forbid rofl. Really though, are those who like it not entitled to an opinion? We are, but you sure don’t seem to think so. Wanna know what’s important to me? Fixing classes, actually putting out content and not just races, making the tier jumps between raids less huge so older content can still be relevant within it’s expansion.
Those are important things to me. Also important to me is keeping PF so I don’t have to pay on each and every toon, nor do I have to wait for max level on alts.

You’re the one acting like if someone dislikes PF there’s something wrong with them.
The content of PF doesn’t go away. You could still do it even if we could buy flying at max level. You lose nothing.

Player choice matters. Lets see if they deliver on player agency like they said would come in shadowlands.
I’m in the same boat. I don’t like how any of the classes feel to play this expansion, and I didn’t get far enough on them to even make progress on Pathfinder. I also have done 2 Pathfinders now and I hated every minute of doing them, I refuse to do a third one.
Knowing that there will be a fourth one in Shadowlands, yeah I don’t even think I want to bother even playing the game then, what is the point? I tried, I genuinely tried to deal with it 2 times, but Pathfinder sucked all the fun out of this game for me and I just cannot stand doing it. I’d rather play another game.

I sympathize. I didn’t unlock Pathfinder until a few days ago. And I have been playing since BfA went live. Picking a character to stick to has also been an issue this expansion, for me.

If you read what I posted, I never advocated removal of PF entirely, I said PF should be a reward for doing the story lines/chapters not farming a blue dot 600 times in a zone with 1000’s of mobs that you have no way of avoiding being overwhelmed by just running on the road to the blue dot . Worse even the Blue dot is 8 layers vertical in a jump puzzle location surrounded by 999 mobs and less than 3 of you on the ground. I have said PF needs to be tuned and even more so as the community starts avoiding ground mobs but the number of mobs remain too high for an individual with low ilevel entry gear to dps through without dozens of other farming the area’s
Yeah it is hard for players to keep up because there is too much to do to stay relevant.
I mean you could play the game laid back and not care what others think of you. But without flying the game isn’t designed without flying that well.
Shadowlands is going to introduce more travel gimmicks by trying to replace the huge gaping hole left by over gating flight once more.
It is really a bad design IMO.

Yer. Just had another look. Still needing 3k/12k. Went to Mechagon. Clicked on a couple of dailies. Big load of nope. Do not want. Don’t think this is going to happen. What else can I do to get Mechagon rep, cos actually going to Mechagon is not working for me. I’m mildly negative about Pathfinder, but would do it if I enjoyed the zone. Not buying Shadowlands just in case there is another zone/rep I can’t stand.

I still don’t and don’t care. I don’t even have any allied races unlocked. I unlocked flight for WoD and Legion (after BFA came out).
I just cannot grinds.

Getting it eventually with dedication isn’t necessarily the problem. There’s no time limit. One quest a day will still get you there.
I say that, but the real problem is that there is an arbitrary grind at all. Pathfinder requires completion of the story quests in a zone. This is good because they typically have you wander around entire zones on foot first, which is the point of pathfinder in the first place.
The rep grinds though? Just padding for the sake of padding, and this is probably what gets most people just coming back or starting out. Everyone else is flying around at 280% speed laser precision striking world quest mobs while they have to feel like the fat kid trying to keep up screaming “wait for me gais!” on their grounded 100% speed mount.
