an hour is generous. Clothies get nuked, Rogues get swamped, Hunters pull everything and Plate mail is worthless in new content without Benthic style BoAs (which doesn’t count until max level), so 90% of leveling is corpse runs. I get that it’s exactly how the game was planned out from the start, but spending 99% of one’s life running to get to the next flight path, only to die en route and the nearest graveyard be back where the previous fp was, not exactly ideal for the Modern War-craft.

yeah…I was being nice, lol.
I do wonder about a game maker whose ‘content’ consists mostly of travel time and mobbing hordes rather than storylines.
But hey…Im just the consumer here. I have no clue what I like in a game until blizzard tells me what I like, lol

as long as the current leadership is in place the game can never be great. Too much animosity held against the player base. What makes the game great and fun is ultimately held as punishment to be levied against those who have altering playstyles than that of the dev team.

I really think you have that flipped. They change things all the time, thing is though, just like the hundreds of other whine threads about PF they don’t want to change this aspect. I don’t blame them, I like PF but I hate the wait til part 2.
See how that works? People do like different things, your rant on the game devs not listening over such a basic thing as flying tells me so much about you as a person. Entitlement is a double edged sword, they make one person happy it harms others, that the gist. Imagine really thinking they hate the player base that puts roofs above their heads and food on the table. You will fit right in with this crowd here, all full of theories and zero facts.

as far as my previous statement, I think the predisposition to NO FLYing by the lead dev is why we are where we are today. My Opinion of course.
The PF achieve can and probably should stay in game but it should be wrapped around playing the game not farming 5 spots every week until you max a rep. PF should be achievable by merely completing the content and that should be shared with all your Alts. If my hunter finishes story 1-10 in 2 zones and my pally clears the other stories in the rest of the zones it should count. I am still the one playing the game.
Nobody is asking for Bernie to run the game, just make the achievement and work to complete more compelling and part of the game play not some Bcrap farming for a weekly cap.

The devs know PF is unpopular but their ego won’t allow them to change. Blizzcon, the most die hard and dedicated Blizzard fans who paid a lot of money to be there, booed when another PF was announced. Their arrogance is what is killing this game. It’s so blatantly obvious they don’t care one bit if players find the game fun.

Easy solution: poll the playerbase on the login screen regarding flying and I’ll bet my real life salary that the majority of players would want flying without the PF garbage.

To prove what exactly? I like being able to fly on alts before max level. You though seem to think flying is content and that is silly. We are heading into expansion 4 with PF. You know the hilarious thing? You have joined the club of people who have continued to play and come here to complain about it for literally 6 years. Do you think that’s crazy on their part or the people who keep subbing who like you think this is game ending?
A poll means nothing, they have done them in the past and people ignored emails, but you’d know that right if you had ever taken part in one like I have.
You’re right about one thing. Flying isn’t and shouldn’t be content. Yet Blizzard makes you do every single thing in the open world in order to fly. Blizzard has made flying into content rather than have flying be a means to get to content.
I’m here because I’m finding the game more fun than not. If I wasn’t I wouldn’t be here at all.

Same. All the stuff that drew me to the classes in the first place, that made them fun to play, has been removed. It’s frustrating and leads to benched toons. From completely destroying the very fun Demo Warlock to taking the best abilities of other classes and either removing them or making them PvP only talents (looking at you Combat, oh sorry, Outlaw Rogue with Death from Above and spammable Sprint) it’s killing my desire to play almost all of my guys now.
No it isn’t, you don’t need to fly to get anywhere; the only people that require flying are farmers, a task that is inherently opposite to casual player appeal.
We have a whistle in a 4min cd and three separate hearthstones, traveling is not an issue.
Those damn Torts are keeping me from it. 1,000 points away.
And it wasn’t fun even getting to that point.
But you do need PF to be viable in Call to Arms. When your entire party is flying and hunting in Naj and you’re the only one on a ground mount, you become a meme.
one would think…that a raid party in Naj or Zul would have at least 1 sandstone drake amongst them.

Same here, I actually enjoy doing the PF, my only wish is that flying became available immediately instead of time gating 6months to a year or whatever it is.
Excellent point and that means we could also take a poll on PvP and we know a majority of players don’t do it so we can remove it…there are things that are important to some people and not others, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it should be removed.
This is opinion based entirely. I have no problems with flying being content based and it gives me a huge reward to look forward to. I do PF on my main and then I love being able to fly on my alts as they level through the same content.
Agree completely plus I am one of those returning players and it took me a little under 4 days /played to get flying. Yes I know that is 96 hours but during that time I also leveled my DH from 98-120 and did lots of optional stuff, it was not just focused on flying.
You must have bad friends because when I did not have flying all my friends have dual mounts and I could ride with them. Amazingly they don’t care bevcause they knew I was working on getting it.
