I can agree with those points. I think it’ll be much easier for them to ironically make content better than balance the overly complex systems they created for this xpac.
Yes because you need Beta to know if it seems a bit too soon.
I have beta. I’m worried it’s coming out too soon. Every week there seems to be a new set of bugs that just got fixed.
Why such a need to hurry this time ?? They should have learnt from WC 3 reforged that unfinished product pisses of people more then delaying it.
It’s not that bad. There’s a lot of minor bugs. It just worries me as I keep having to report the same things every week.
For example, there’s this cloud sea in Bastion surrounding the zone, but in the southern end there isn’t. The problem with that? The southern end of Bastion is a hill that goes down into the cloud sea, but without the sea, it’s an unfinished bit of terrain and it looks awful.
It got fixed last build, but then it appeared again in the most recent one.
What about classes ?? Heard some are very broken and there is zero communication there, is it true ??
Not really. Things play well enough. We’re now in the tuning phase, so they’re going back through and just buffing certain abilities or classes.
And I’m going to be 100% honest here. I have been really critical of the covenant abilities since the first time they were shown. I would love to play a Kyrian, but Condemn is 1000 times better, and yet I will say this: I don’t think the Covenant system will be a game-breaker. I don’t. If anything, it’ll be like Legendaries. They were annoying sure, but it didn’t ruin the game.
I feel like they are going to be treating those things like PvP seasons, where they won’t change them in order to preserve whatever esports leaderboards they decide to drop in 9.0.5. That makes me think those things are about as polished as they are getting. I hope not, but it really seems like the direction they’re going.
No thanks OP, I only agree with the MaW being pretty bland but the rest seemingly are gripes you have that you don’t like or don’t agree with which is just how development is. They’ll never get it perfect, polished 100%, and bug-free.
Torghast is perfectly fine imo. I’ve complete all 8 blocks of the Twisting Corridors. What exactly have you found lacking polish?
That highly depends on the class. Between covenants, the soul binds and the conduits…yeah some still have a massive difference. We’re not talking 1 or 2% either.
Nor has many really realized how some soul binds soecific to covenants are just going to outscale others in general. This system will have to be iterated throughout the expansion. Thats time could of been spent on content.
But they do seem to be just nerfing everything down so if they continue that it won’t matter as much in the beginning for some. Others the soulbinds themselves will make vast differences between different covenants. We’ll see… but i don’t see it being just “annoying”.
I get it. But Blizz has to be worried about losing out those people by delaying and risking losing people to other games. Take me for example. A delay of the prepatch and Expansion would probably make me try out Baldurs Gate 3. and Cyberpunk. Games I wasn’t planning on getting until a later time because WoW was expected to occupy my time. If I get hooked, when, if ever, would I come back? I’m just one person, but its a real choice a lot of gamers would have to make. And Blizzard has to be aware of that.
Yeah, I don’t want Shadowlands to drop as a complete disaster personally. But if the main bugs (I mean, no matter what, bugs will happen) and gameplay is fleshed out, I’d probably keep playing WoW for now. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah, true. I didn’t even think about it in those terms.
some publishers do that intentionally… because people are nuts and want to buy the editions with the typos
no, they’re Blizzard.
Not Blizzard Activision, not Activision Blizzard, not Actiblizz, or any of the other tripe people love to spout.
considering there is no consensus on the definition of “casual”, i’m going to state that you have zero source on this.
It goes beyond polish for me at this point.
I did the work and got the strider. Now, as figured, theyre screwing it over for my lowbie characters, the ones I got it for. I hadnt even gotten the strider and used it very long before the mount equipment garbage. Now its apparently unlocked at 40.
I finally decided to start using the Loot-a-Rang. Realized I enjoy using it. Its been Eng 1 to use for how long? Now it looks like Cata Eng 70 is going to be required to use, which again, screws my lowbie characters.
Polish, yeah, great.
Screwing over stuff I like and use in game. Well, there are always other games to play, I suppose.
That’s how they do things now. This isn’t 2007
Oh no, I’m not denying that. There is absolutely a BIS covenant for your class. And it’s not just a 1-2% difference.
I just think it’s going to be an annoyance, but not a game-breaker. I want to go Kyrian but I’m sort of okay with going Venthyr for a bit at the start.
Actually they are Activision-Blizzard and thats not spouting anything. Its legitimately the company.
I’m a casual. Theres varying degrees of casual and im by no means lumping everyone into one however even through rudimentary data we can see a very small percentage of the population even completes content most would think isnt exactly cutting edge. But your right we don’t have specific numbers but most veterans intm this game are aware of the fact therss more who play this game solo then in group content.
Im an old comic collector from way back.
Ive tried collecting these glossy paged abominations they call comics these days, but I just cant do it. I want the old Sea Monkey and X-ray Specs ads on that old dingy off white blue jean material they called pages, lol
you’d better tell Vrak that he doesn’t know who he’s working for.
disagree, alot are crying fire with out even smelling smoke.
