I think we agree on most points but maybe we aren’t saying it correctly.
Yeah. Wouldn’t hurt to make it so that M+ and Raids gave a currency that let you buy exactly what you want from the raids. Let the rolls themselves be a “free” bonus. Least if they are going to be so scarce as they are now with 1 item per 5 players.
I’m probably a bit too much old school in my thinking.
But for me trying to cater to new players at all cost when this is an old game just doesn’t make much sense. If they want new players they need to do wow 2.
I play on moodguard primarily and pop for our cluster feels fine to me. I mean there is always a the dip before content though.
This will never work. WoW 2 would die immediately.
Well then they need to understand that they need to keep the game interesting for their older base. Which stuff like SL and DF did are clearly not doing.
WoW is competing with so many games for your attention and it’s a 20 year old game that tries to resell the same expansion model and experience over and over.
There are so many good games out this year, and there’s only more to come.
You would be wrong.
Rip maplestory 2. Quite a charming game that would have been much better off as a co-op experience than mmo.
The opposite opinion. M+ is the most fun when you are at your full gear and can actually start pushing without the thought that it’s a waste of time because you’re going to gear up more and do better while playing worse in the back of your mind. I think M+ should get everyone who is interested in doing it to full 447 gear even faster than the vault-timegated gearing structure allows. If you nerf m+ ilvl in raid and pvp to make it fair, sure idm at all.
I play on populated servers so I don’t feel it. When the expansion came out and people were leveling the world was vibrant and it was beautiful. Dragonflight has had to contend with Classic Wrath, the sudden boom of Hardcore, and then the highly anticipated Diablo V release. Plus we all know retail is about end game so people aren’t out in the world as much. That emptiness is emboldened by you playing hardcore for the past 6 moths which is primarily open world stuff…
Well when challenging solo content is available, the solo crowd generally complains nonstop until the challenge is removed. What is most commonly asked for is easy content that’s farmable and rewards high level gear at some point. (Of course it can’t take too long, that’s also bad)
I don’t think Blizz would have an issue with a rewarding solo challenge, but players have repeatedly shown it’s not wanted.
The ZC rares are challenging to solo … and not well-received … so I guess you’re not wrong.
They’re not intended solo content, they’re boring, and they have trash rewards. Of course nobody wants to do them.
When people stop playing is bc they’re up to a point they feel fine with their iLvl gear and in this season, the gear min/max brackets were very close to each other making maxed out heroic gear (437) a sweet spot for the grand majority of players.
Like, why would someone who can farm with ease a +11 go to a 16 for vault slots only or 17’s for a chance of 441 gear (only 4 lvls above of heroic)
This is now good point in favor of the Mythic upgrade path, a decent incentive (447 gear) for the playerbase to get into the next bracket of dungeons, 16-17’s is the new sweet spot in terms of vault rewards and end of dungeon loot.
The rewards they have would be fine motivation (for me) if I enjoyed the gameplay of fighting them.
they did that in SL and wont do it again
the irony is “legendaries” are still in DF and still a huge gold sink as “embellishments”
players are just kinda psychotic
lol
This tier is an exception but in Shadowlands +16s were easier to time than most heroic raid bosses
Sure, let’s anger the, according to you, lower population so we can bring hypothetical new blood.
This game is dead and Its hard to fathom that some people keep denying this. The crackhead streamer messaging of late is " Dragonflight is the best expansion ever. the story is great and the leveling is the best its ever been, gearing is the best its ever been etc… Dragonflight is better than legion better than wrath blah blah.
Yeahhhh maybe we do, but the game is feeling rather dead lately. It used to be I’d never have a BG queue last more than 2-3 minutes, now I’m sometimes waiting 8-15 minutes for a BG.
Major hubs on my realm feel more deserted than I’ve experienced in my many years of WoW, bar maybe the end of WoD.
I suspect a lot of people just went to D4, but there is a noticeable absence of players.
