This is just a fact, I do less things because it costs 50g to respec if I want to do something else and then another 50g after I’m done. I know I am not alone in this. Most of my guild doesn’t do things together because we don’t want to respec.
Also for the dumb people saying “100g a week is nothing”, it’s not 100g a week. It’s minimum 100g a day, if not more. I would GLADY pay 100g a week for infinite respecs, but it’s more like 1000g a week which isn’t sustainable.
Add dual spec fast or this game is going to die even faster than it already is.
Yeah I’ve said this over and over again, if I have a couple hours to play after a raid, I log out and do something else. If I had dual spec I could just go farm some gold or do some PVP or whatever.
It wouldn’t be so bad if bots weren’t ruining basically every gold grind in the game. I’m 100% making less gold than I did when I played TBC back in the day by a decent margin.
And yet TBC grew the playerbase by like 3 million. It’s almost as if the problem isn’t the lack of a dual spec. The problem is an entitled Retail playerbase who can’t handle the fact in TBC there are meaningful choices and sacrifices that the devs expect you to make.
Clearly, you have a reading disability. I said I play LESS, not that I am quitting. Also, even if this was the case that MOST people don’t quit because no dual spec, even if SOME quit because no dual spec, why not add it in? Thanks for posting completely off topic nonsense.
#1. I played TBC back in the day and I quit in WOTLK. I have never once played retail since. #2. I play on many private servers, the vast majority offered dual spec because it just makes the game more playable. #3. I am 100% sure that the meaningful choice you chose is your class. Not being able to play with your friends because they need a tank and you are spec’d as something else is not a meaningful choice.
You’re either a troll or you throw around parroted words you don’t understand.
No one is saying it’s hard, it’s just a pointless gold sink and inconvenience putting in the talent points and swapping your bars around every time you swap.
I don’t think you know what hard or challenging actually means though, so I’ll let it pass lol
Games not dying. There’s just a bit of a content drought for some.
I can see this dual spec thing potentially being a problem for Druids/pally but I’m not sure for other classes.
I switch between SV for raids and BM for everything else. If I PVP’d I’d probably just run dungeons in my PVP spec because they’re dungeons and I out gear them. It wouldn’t be the most ideal thing, but that’s how this game is. Many things are not the most ideal to me. But it would be plenty of damage going out in the dungeons that I can already solo 1-2 NPCs on my own.
Surely there is a solution like this for most people, no? Because even if you had dual spec, I’m assuming you’re having issues because you have 3 specs you’re playing (raid, dungeon / open world and then PVP).
Dual spec does not solve a tri spec issue just so you know!!
Dual spec is regarded by many as one of the stepping stones towards the “bad things” in retail, along with dungeon group forming automation, LFR, and tokens.
I guess I see how this goes. We play TBC and realize dual spec is dope while playing wrath. We play wrath some more and realize group automation is dope and makes more sense than sitting in chat spamming crap over and over and forcing one person out of the 5 to be the dude who does it. And eventually, we all love retail? Is that how it works? You’re all getting baited into loving retail
As a druid you can effectively tank, heal and dps in a single spec. In fact cat and bear share the same spec which has HoTW which makes healing possible too. The only thing you can’t do is boomkin. Which if you went boomkin then you can arguably heal and dps still too. Druids talents are super weird but it allows for good hybrid utility in the deep specs like dreamstate or HoTW.
