Hell no son. You are so wrong here it’s crazy.
Yes, there are a lot of issues with current talent trees, and the hero talents are a disaster. However, it is still an infinite amount better than the crap “talents” that had Post Cata.
Sounds way more fun and interesting than anything in the past though.
You mean Blessing of Kings, Might, and Wisdom?
i mean three abilities.
…can I choose Blessing of Kings, Might, and Wisdom?
i miss the mount speed thing and blessings on pal.
lightsmith prolly coulda been more into that actually.
Cata talents are alright, sometimes. DF talents are much better overall, though.
In Cata, talents like Serpent Sting getting an instant damage component is cool (for the time), but those are the exception.
In DF, talents like Shaman’s 3% increase to elemental damage are boring, but they’re the exception.
Would be neat if they go full Last Epoch mode and offered skill modification but that would be a huge undertaking.
I think WoD was probably the close they experimented with this getting a perk every 2 levels that enhanced a specific skill.
I don’t. Losing talent trees was a tragedy and I am glad to have them back.
I was comparing which one had more actually.
Debating bad class design.
All I did was respectfully disagree without resorting to anything petty, that you now have done.
Oh really… hold my
That is just wrong. Sorry you don’t like that, but it is true.
I just said you’re wrong about class fantasy/flavor not existing in classic. Which you are.
Well you’re just wrong, sorry you didn’t like the detour
“Respectfully” huh?
Ah, so now you resort to insults.
See above. Literally throwing salt and calling me wrong because you disagree.
I can criticize it all I want, not all of it is good.
WRONG! Your opinion is not allowed here.
Why? Because I said so.
I mean this is sorta what glyphs were at the time, yeah?
Idk, I like it, but I get why they moved away from it.
Cata talents are alright, sometimes. DF talents are much better overall, though.
Conceptually I think Cata had a solid idea: Give players baseline what they 100% need to function, let talents be specialization on top of that. I know it didn’t always play out like this, but this was the idea behind what they did at the time.
Plus a good number of the talents weren’t super exciting and they could probably do better today.
What I don’t like about DF talents is that so many of the active abilities I spend points on are things that I just had baseline in vanilla. Feels a bit like they ripped my class out and told me to spend points getting it back.
Blessing of Kings for life. It’s the whole reason I was originally allowed to raid as ret in vanilla.
debating anything with pulemy…
also pretty sure he has me on ignore simply cause i remember he was already here on these forums already.
Oh yeah I forgot about glyphs. Hunter being able to reflect spells in deterrence.
Cata talents are alright, sometimes. DF talents are much better overall, though.
When I think “classic”, I think vanilla to wrath.
Cata doesn’t feel like “classic” to me.
But I agree. Tbh I prefered cata talents to pre cata era.
In DF, talents like Shaman’s 3% increase to elemental damage are boring, but they’re the exception.
True, but unlike other xpacs. There are way more transformative talents. They modify or flat out evolve preexisting abilities.
Cata doesn’t feel like “classic” to me.
That’s fair. I lump them all in up til MoP for talent tree discussions, which I guess is a little broad.
debating anything with pulemy…
I know… I realized my mistake too late
Silly me… I didn’t realize I replied to pulemy.
My mistake. Proceed with disengenuous subjectiveness and bad takes.
Ill see my way out lol.
I should have left when I had the chance…
Tbh I think it goes by when you started playing and how LONG you’ve been playing. After classic servers.
The word “classic” lost its initial meaning.
Soon mop will ACTUALLY be in that umbrella xD
