I disagree. Back in the day, (I’m probably older than most of you guys) I would play Mortal Kombat vs another player. I picked my character/class then he picked his. I didn’t have to concern myself with a massive gear disparity between us. It was just 2 dudes banging away at one another.

You can then argue that well ‘this is an MMORPG’ ect. and ‘I’m playing the wrong game’. That’s fair enough I suppose under the current Shadowlands system, sure that’s a valid point.
However, I pine for the time whenever we could grind a full set of conquest gear, and we knew we would be essentially equally geared as the next fellow. Now…in Shadowlands that’s unfortunately not possible for a casual like myself.

The better players (on top of them being more skilled) ALSO are given a sizable gear ilevel advantage that a lower CR player like myself can NEVER overcome. This results in me just getting mega-rek’d by these geared guys. Couple this with how bursty the meta is anyway… and I’m getting freaking dumpstered in 2 seconds flat. It’s not fun.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Shadowlands feels like an expansion meant to cater to and appease the high end elite player. (Be it PvE or PvP). That’s fine… but I utterly refuse to stick around and be fodder for their amusement!!! My time is more valuable than that.

I just miss the days whenever I could cap out my conquest gear (with PvP resilience) and knew that I was now ‘geared’. I could run my random BG’s and at least feel like I was competitively geared. Under the current system that’s essentially impossible. I hope this is at least somewhat clear. I feel I’d be better able to make myself clear in an actual discussion. But oh well, this will have to do.

the pvp now is just in favor of ret*rds who dont know how to communicate or plan.
in bfa killing some one was actualy HARD, and you had to plan and time things to kill healers. now its just " i press 2 buttons and you die"

the only reason people like this burst damage is because THEY DO THE BURST AND ARENT INSTANTLY 1 SHOT. THERES NO SKILL IN THIS! THERES NO FUN JUST DYING EITHER!

Here here. I’m so glad that I don’t have to go on that M+ treadmill anymore. Dungeons are fine, but I can only run them so many times before they become tedious and boring. And straight up, scr$w the genious who thought that putting timers in an mmorpg was a good idea.

No warforged/titanforged gear. No extra loot rolls. I know a lot of people in the “community” asked for this but Blizzard shouldn’t have listened to them. They were wrong. The extra loot rolls and the warforged mechanism was good because as player you had an incentive to do more content. The way it is now you just have to do it and forget, either because the raid won’t drop the loot again or because you already got the item you need and you don’t want to bother doing that boss again.

You’re saying “Loot is scarce on purpose” for SL but you fail to call out how we have MORE choices weekly for specific upgrades we want due to the Great Vault, which is infinitely better than the weekly chest in BfA.

If you grind out all the content required to get that choice (you only get to make one choice a week, regardless of how many you get to choose from), and you get 1 chest a week instead of 2. And no guarantee it contains any upgrades and no duplicates of slots.

There is a 100% guarantee it contains an upgrade considering it’s based off of YOUR efforts. If you don’t put effort into your character, then yes you will not receive upgrades. That’s not a game design issue, that’s a you issue.

Didn’t care much for the azerite system, but yeah BFA was ok. Never payed much attention to the warforged, titanforged stuff. If a item upgraded it was like ok cool. I guess the only folks who really got upset, or aggravated over it might of been the hardcore mythic dungeon, hardcore raiders. Doubt many of the more casual normal to heroic dungeon, lfr players, and world questers cared much at all, if a item war, or titanforged tbh. Liked Legion better. Because weapons are cool, and a necklace is just meh imo. I guess, if you are into jewelry a necklace is cool though lol.
