I feel like all of your problems with SL would be solved if you’d just look at your minimap and figure out which way North is… Suddenly Oribos is very easy to navigate.
That’s… The purpose of getting good gear
Person X is pushing to be a gladiator and because his successful rating in 2s/3s, he will get the best possible gear as he put effort
So he’ll easily take out anyone with 184 gear
That alone should tell you “ok yeah I’m tired of being an easy kill, I need to step it up”
As a pvp player I vehemently disagree. Shadowlands is so much better than bfa. The lvl of loot in mythic plus is pretty great. I’m pretty happy with the fact I don’t have to pve to get gear, besides torghast for soul ash but that’s whatever, it’s chill. I’m glad bfa is gone. Corruption sucked, the islands and war fronts were snooze fests, Azeroth sucked and anima is not nearly as bad
RNG corruptions on gear with RNG stats.
That’s my main disagreement. There’s much better ways to go about this.
I actually like warforging. I don’t think people hate the warforging aspect of warforging, I think they hate the RNG element about it. Blizzard should keep Warforging, but give the player much more agency about when it happens. Same with stat reforging.
-
They kvetched about BC because of PVP gearing, resilience, complicated attunements for raids, raid-or-die, flying, Isle of Quel’Danas and the static roster of dailies they had up every day.
-
They kvetched about WotLK because of rets, DKs, insta-kill rogues, Wintergrasp PVE locked behind PVP, professions, Trials of the Crusader and freakin jousting and Ruby Sanctum
-
Cata heroics, need I say more? what a storm of feces that brought about. All because the Wrath babies (remember that term?) couldn’t imagine mana and cc being important. woW has never recovered from the WotLK playstyle. Or from xrealm LFD (later LFR).
-
they kvetched about MoP so much oh god . pandas. pandas. oriental artstyle. alien to wow. Monks. SoO taking so long.
-
WoD. Garrisons. Sharding. meaningless professions. the world becoming irrelevant. scrapped content. Tanaan Jungle.
-
Legion legendary RNG. Artifact Knowledge.
the OP is absolutely incorrect. people complain bitterly about every. single. thing. in. WoW. No wonder even the Community Managers don’t dare open their mouths here, for fear of the amount of vitriol they get.
Nah you’re trolling. BFA was absolute trash.
Loot is fine IMO. I gear with pvp system . I get 1-2 item upgrade each week. That’s good enough for endgame content . I dont want everything in 1 week. I find myself not motivated to play once i got all my gear .
Instead of WF/TF, make it so crafters can make things to upgrade them instead. Get some player interaction and economy going, little bit of RPG.
Currency to upgrade gear.
If players really loved the old RNG WF/TF system, I’m not a fan of the idea I’m about to say, but when the item WF/TF, place a token in your bag for the WF/TF amount instead for the player to apply it to an item of their choosing.
I think that’s better than oh hey I got a +40 item level boost on a crappy item I don’t need, how fun and interactive.
Yeah, that’s a great idea. It’s kind of like the Benthic gear in BfA. It was a really nice idea, but needs to be applied to crafting.
I miss Wrath
BFA was trash. For every 1 person that liked it, you will find 100 that didn’t. Don’t let this one person, or even a few people, make you think otherwise. The expansion was a dumpster and will deservingly always be remembered as such.
BFA was bad. Or maybe better words is it wasn’t great. To me? it was meh. The one xpac I spent the least amount of time in.
We see this rinse and repeat every xpac. Things don’t go someone’s way, they get mad, they reminisce over the “good old days” and about how great X was, even though back then they probably were on the forums crying about how doomed WoW is and how bad the xpac was.
You’re just nostalgic.
There it is, fellas. The inevitable post that tries to portray BFA as if it wasn’t a brown stain that ran down the metaphorical buttcrack of Blizzard Entertainment.
You’re absolutely delusional if you think this expansion isn’t leagues better than BFA. Just saying.
Well, although some of your points are valid, I still think SL is already better than BfA
-
I am doing only M+ in SL and, so far, it’s fun and I’m gearing up
-
I never saw the BfA funnel as really that fun - they had to throw 10 pieces of gear at you so you could get a single upgrade; it -is- possible that SL ends up the same, but at least, not so far
-
Corruption and horrible visions were dreadful and ruined the game
-
Islands and warfronts were terrible; Mechagon was disgustingly bad; and you were forced to do them
-
I do not have to raid in SL or pvp - and I don’t plan to
BUT
- I do agree that Oribos sucks, that’s a big stain on SL; just adding mailbox in the trade area would be better; having ports to each covenant is a must
Me and my dk have been sitting with the same weapons and trinkets for 2 months . With many keys done , it’s pathetic the loot distribution . BFA was much easier to gear up .
I hated bfa. I was burnt out completely and quit wow twice to try other games. Honestly, if my wow-guild wasn’t so amazing or if I had found a more end-game inclined in the other games I would have stayed away permanently.
Nothing about shadowlands sounded interesting to me but I came back just to try it and I’m glad I did. I dislike covenant and soulbind powers, they aren’t balanced well and i’m against borrowed powers in general. At least you don’t have to grind a currency to get these. The anima getting is 10000000x less urgent and painful than azerite.
i feel like the SL story, zones, etc… is fine so far
Hey. Jeremy here. Just dropping some fax on you. You can still play BFA.
I don’t. BFA was trash.
