They probably used statistics to determine the best new race. The same statistics that say 70% of statistics are made up on the spot with no actual data.
No one is claiming otherwise.
Its not understanding the english language thats the issue.
They are not just a recolor like the Dark Iron, and the amount of customizations they have is anything but lazy.

Who is saying this though? The argument is one a lot of you are fabricating in your head. Yes they’re dwarves. Yes they’re dwarven. Yes they’re dwarf shaped. Not the point of contention.
Calling the metal/rock skinned with gem growth customized construct a “lazy recolor” is, it’s nonsensical. By that logic Forsaken are a lazy recolor of Humans.
of course the earthen model has been taken from dwarves, and the two races do have a linked lineage.
But I’m satisfied that when im playing an earthen, i dont feel like a normal dwarf.
They have their own thing going on.
They also have their own world and culture that makes them stand apart.
Are they a reskinned dwarf? Yes. But theres more to them than that.

Hopefully in the trash. Thats one race i want to see far away from the character creation screen.
Should they ever become playable then they would actually become members of the horde that get included in the story. And the horde deserves better story than that.

Neutral faction! Have them pick a side during their intro - Dire Maul being looted by both factions and you geet to swear an oath to thee neew King of Dire Maul by helping them defeat the otheer faction.

This is just a nonstop argument about varying levels of civility.
I can end it logically, but people won’t allow it, they are desperate to argue and rationalize having monsters be playable races, you can’t debate or reason with them.
“There is a single band of 20 neutral Ogres, therefore they should be playable” That’s the logic they run off of.
“There is one neutral NPC Naga, therefore they should be playable!”
“A few, like 100 Nagas and Ogres weren’t psychotic, cult following demons, therefore they should be playable”
Okay just make every single monster and creature playable, why are people picking favorites? Where is the design in any of this?
What the hell you on about? We got at least 2 tribes aligned with the Horde plus the Draenor refugees.

Neither of those you stated are innately evil and have never been stated as such, we regularly see Ogres working with others and not just be psychotic.
Having them be playable wouldn’t make all the antagonistic ones disappear.
We’ve had evil humans and orcs and dwarves and trolls since day one. We still do.

I agree. A High Elf race tag, void-less voices, a new heritage armor and a blue racial effect would be enough. Perhaps also red blood for the resentful forum posters here.
What the Alliance needs is an actual attractive race people want exclusively to play on the blue faction.

I dont mind if void elves get something like the ability to change the race tag they use.
On the condition that it is not a void elf only feature and is extended to all races.
So you can have wildhammer dwarves and sand trolls etc.
But im firmly against it if its just a one race only thing done to dilute my race out of the game.

This is not what people want to play though. You can still read postings about this everywhere outside the forums when the Void Elves come up. Blizzard really ruined it for the majority of players with them and the grudge is really, really, really deep with this one. I’m surprised how resentful these people are still to this day.
What the Alliance needs is a goblin race reskin. Raccoons would be cool.

High elves? Dont care about them at all.
Some people being upset that a race they like is not playable, does not mean you should try to ruin a race that is playable and loved by many.
