Yeah I was missing WoD since I unsubbed for awhile in that expack, it sucks to grind that one out but it’s worth having flying when you are leveling there.
I doubt they are going to change it at this point so I suggest just doing a bit at a time, the reps are annoying but just do the daily’s and kill the 4 rares and you will get the rep eventually.
while I have pathfinder in both (I went back and did WoD during legion) you dont need them…
but if I may ask… what is keeping you so busy in BFA that if you wanted these things you couldn’t go back and get them?
I dont have a problem with BFA like most around here but I did like legion and WoD and feel like they are worth playing through once which is the majority of pathfinder
[quote=“Humanìty-sargeras, post:1, topic:51570”] I have BFA pathfinder and still can’t fly in bfa. Such a stupid idea to lock flying behind a time gate.

Lier. You do NOT have BFA pathfinder.
Part 2 of BFA pathfinder has not even been announced, and is not in the game yet. NOBODY has it. You may have completed “part 1”, which is only HALF of pathfinder, not all of it.
You can CALL it a “stupid idea”, but Blizzard (the corporation, not the dev team) likes the 6-month-delay-to-fly-in-new-zones rule. They think it helps the company in their competition with other MMOs for new players.
They like the idea so much they have kept these rules for 3 expansions: longer than they kept any other set of flying rules.
What problem does that solve? What are Blizzard’s internal strategies and goals? They certainly don’t make them public (tell us players).
Allowing players to “buy flying outright” to unlock it, as opposed to rep grind? As a player, I like that. But I don’t know if it is acceptable to Blizzard.
It doesn’t change the “no flying in new zones the first 6 months” time delay. That rule is clearly there for a reason.
Yes, and it can be 1,000,000 g due to inflation, and the price that one would pay for being lazy. This would be for each, and every character on the same account too.
Blizzard did not make anything an issue. Blizzard changed the “unlock flying” rules for THEIR MMO. That isn’t an “issue”.
Some players make it an “issue” by claiming the new rule are unfair or demanding that the rules change. The only “issue” is “some players are upset about this rule”.
As far as I can tell, that is 100% an argument among players. Blizzard is not involved in this argument, and doesn’t need to be. They make the rules.
Same. I will NEVER have it. I’m not a puppet. I’m not going to spend hours and hours grinding, dull, boring old content for a feature I’ll rarely use anyway.
A lot of players her advocate doing just that - even though they unlocked it when it was relevant, or WoW is literally the only game they play and assume the same of everyone else.
For someone screaming because they want flying like they used to back in bc and wrath to mop, saying “things change!” Is rather amusing.
Yes, things change. We have pathfinder now. Blizzard has made older expansion pathfinder easier now. The energy spent here whining could be spent either working on pathfinder, of which blizzard even lets you use a 2 seater flying mount for, or doing other content/games. Blizzard seems pretty happy with pathfinder, and the streamlining of it. Might be time to get used to it.
they allowed people to “buy” flying with gold once the person reached max lvl for that xpac for YEARS! this path finder crap is still a new implantation compared to it. i’m just sayin if you want it account wide go for the achievement, if you dont care then spend the gold and buy in game on the toon you want.
And it’s not about Blizzard being happy with it, it’s about what their players are happy with. How often do you see “remove PF” threads vs “I love PF!” threads?
When you’ve been entitled to free stuff for so long, it’s amazing how equality feels oppressive.
They have the same method of obtaining what they are asking for as we do, but they don’t want to put in equal work to get there. They want it for free.
id say just remove flying from all new xpacks from her out. if the player base cant agree and come to an agreement. then fit! take it out. the devs would be happy about it. they hate flying anywaies lol
Yeah no… Blizzard did make flying an issue when Ion and his team announced in WoD that they were going to remove it. I was here on these forums and fighting for my ability to continue to fly. Up until that point there had only been a few complaint threads from people on PVP servers about how it ‘ruined world pvp’… So no Blizzard did make it an issue.
Have a wonderful day.
I opened up a lemonade stand to sell grape juice. My customers were pretty upset because they all wanted lemonade and I hardly sold anything but I’m pretty happy that my lemonade stand only sells grape juice.
