Damn, Blizzard really did run off all the true pro flying players. All that’s left are people who will admittedly defend whatever nonsense Blizzard shoves down their throat.
Blizz didn’t even want to keep flying in the game, period. The fact that the playerbase threw such a stink about it caused them to retract their plans and implement a system in which would cater to both parties. So the fact we even have Pathfinder I’d say is a gift in itself.
I skipped out on WoD pathfinder as I couldn’t be bothered or deal with the requirements. I ended up obtaining it during Legion though as there was a point in time where I was super bored. It was old content. I wanted it so I worked for it. Was it fun? Definitely not. Do I enjoy flying in Draenor now when I’m on an alt? Yup.
Point is, if you want the reward you’re gonna have to put some skin in the game and do some work.
I’ve always been on the fence about Pathfinder. Sure, make people stay grounded but later, if they want to fly, let them. Don’t require people to do nonsense content in order to do it. It’s just giving the illusion of extended content.
I thought it was just me. I still haven’t finished Mists. Every alt I run there caps out before finishing the zone with the farm. Someday I will do the rest of that place.
All this ENTITLEMENT to something the rest of us had to earn.
I for one hate it when blizzard adds in a grind then nerfs it into oblivion after I spent the time and effort getting it done. It makes you not want to put effort into anything when a patch later it’s just given away for free. It makes the achievements in the game pointless.
Exactly what I keep telling these clowns at Blizzard.
I didnt play in WoD and barely hit the end of Legion.
I also have two personal WoW accounts and actually a third account.
Im sorry but I AINT going back into OLD content for PF.
Just isnt going to happen.
And since BFA is boring the pants off of me so far, I figure my days in this game are probably numbered.
If you were really interested in collecting transmogs and old mounts, then you would get Pathfinder in both of these expansions while doing so. Seems this is just an excuse to complain.
Just like with gearing? Why raid now when the next raid gives better gear? Grinding for gear is pointless. Same with everything. I’ve done all pathfinders and I wish they’d do away with that BS for good.
oh bull dink
Theyve lightened up flight for both Northrend AND MoP.
There are TONS of things now that dont have the same requirements they did THEN WHEN it made sense to have it restricted.
Things change.
There is absolutely no sense to keep players tied in up OLD content trying to get something petty and basic as flight.
PF for CURRENT content to make you play it out makes sense so they can drag it out like they need to.
there is NO reason to drag out OLD content.
All PF is doing is driving players away from that content.
And tell me, if you’re not going to do old content whats the point of getting the option to fly in areas and zones you wont be doing anything in because you dont do old content? By your logic it makes zero sense so let me try to help you out.
Looks like you AINT gonna be flyin in Draenor.
Just isnt going to happen.
uh…I WOULD do that old content if I didnt have to run around for hours on end to get to OLD dungeons / raids?
2+2=4.
I dont do it BECAUSE I cant fly. And I cant fly because aint doing the grind for flight.
as far as ‘aint’…that remains to be seen.
Tons of crying in here over lightened restrictions. They already loosened up MoP and northrend flight, now didnt they.
The New Player trope is sooo tired. A new player gets a free boost to 110. That means Draenor and Legion flying don’t matter. When it DOES matter is when you level a char from scratch. If you really went after it, you could have it done in less than 24 hours of gameplay (but you HAVE to buy Medallions of the Legion). Either way, every single other person who has flying went through 4x as much work as that, so don’t expect much sympathy.
You don’t mythic raid for gear. You mythic raid for the achievements and killing of bosses that are challenging. By the second to third week into mythic raiding most of the gear is irrelevant or terribly small upgrades. The majority of players continue on because it’s fun to challenge yourself.
