Why do I think they are different? Because the developers learned from previous works, and their design decisions changed.
You might as well ask why normal flying isn’t at 60% speed, because that is what it was originally. Things change.
Don’t be dumb, that’s months of work doing all of the weeklies that are RNG as it is to unlock on top of the reps, treasures, locals, quests, and other garbage. Pathfinder works in expansion somewhat but is beyond abysmal for content not in current play cycle.
Remove Pathfinder from draenor. If the expansion is two expansions old jsut make it purchasable.

Yep and it took 25 people to finish a raid these people do solo for mogs. Hypocrites.
Don’t feel bad OP, you don’t need to fly in those zones anyway. Once you get your alts past there is no reason to look back and even while leveling you can just dungeons grind through it anyway.

Good thing you can level thru them in a a couple of days and never have to worry about it. I mean by the time you would have made the max level to even worry about it, you should be on to the next expansion anyways.

Oh please. You worked hard for it so that you could have it when it was in current content. THAT was your reward for your hard work. Not that you got flying at all, but that you got it in the xpac that was current. The one you will be playing in the most. Letting people get it in an easier way now that it’s old and irrelevant content, does not undervalue it’s meaning when you worked on it. The fact that you think it does, is a bit sad. It is not current anymore so it’s restrictions are no longer necessary to be kept in place.
I got pathfinder for WoD when it was current. If they nerfed it now to just gold, I would not care. It’s old now so what do I care if it’s nerfed. I don’t. Why do you? You already enjoyed the advantages of that work by enjoying it when it was new. It is no longer new or relevant content anymore, so you shouldn’t be caring.

I said use not paid for but my statement stands you used a boost to, you know, skip old content.
Like how you are telling people they shouldn’t be playing MMOs? You aren’t the authority on that either.

As did many people. You played the game then, so you know the ropes. But then you decided to skip an expansion. Many didn’t. So how is the lessening in value of their game time going to be replaced?
Here’s an option.
Everyone, skip the next expansion. Nobody sub. Let all of the patches get added let all of the content get wasted on no one playing.
The people who play through the expansions you skipped are the reason you were even able to come back.
EDIT - oh, and if it wasn’t worth your time to play it then, why should you even care about that content now?

Also, imo, a better story. UP till they tacked on the tree burning as the end bit/bfa prelude…its nice in legions story wise.
Like val sharah. Why is horde killing demons there when it helps the night elves? because demons are bad and we are fighting an invasion of them. And it has an item needed for questing (tears of elune).
Why is my horde killing witches in drustvar when we want to see the place rekt anyway and the witches are helping make that happen? No good answer.
Alliance the same thing with say blood trolls. this alliance char has no issues with the blood trolls. take all the horde blood you want trolls. game makes me hate them. Old gods? Not like any leadership, either side, cares about the other sides problem here.

Maybe if you gave Activision $25 for Pathfinder, they’ll give it to you via DLC.
I’m not being facetious here: just indicate that Pathfinder is irritating enough that you’d be willing to pay $25 to get it over with, and boom, they’ll probably sell it as a microtransaction so you won’t have to play the game.
Win-win: You like flying, they like money, there shouldn’t be a problem here, right?

This is the norm now. That’s just all there is to it. Eventually, I imagine the Pathfinder requirement will either be lifted or nerfed to the point that people like OP will feel its easy enough for their level of entitlement but that time is not now. They only recently removed the lvl90 requirement for Pandaria.
It’s so freakin’ easy to do if you just play the content. The rep is ridiculously easy to build and there is no time gate on progression at this point. Zero farts given for OP’s complaint here.

Honestly, I think WoD’s pathfinder requirement can be removed entirely with flight unlocking at that xpac’s level cap and Legion’s rep requirements can be axed.

My idea of playing the game isn’t going back to 4+ year old content to grind out reps I otherwise don’t have any interest in.
I, thankfully, did it while it was current. But if I hadn’t, man, I’d be hard pressed to go back and grind that all out.
