I’ll never be able to fly in dreanor or legion

You claim to be a mount collector, however, you aren’t willing to put in any effort to get the mounts obtain via pathfinder. That is what really is odd about your complaint.

Kind of my thoughts… I left 2 months into WoD and returned for 5 months of Legion, which was spent leveling, not working on achievements or flying.

Now I just do the same, level through the WoD and Legion content as fast as I can… Flying would be nice, but not worth the time investment.

Things I don’t find fun don’t get done, and I don’t find rep grinding fun, so…

Yeah I got yelled at in the beginning from my other forum friends who played WoW since open alpha. They were in the top raid guild on our realm and said to concentrate on one char, never mind alts. So my mage from a month after I started took like 4 years to max (leveling in secret). lmao

then you are correct, you won’t be able to fly in draenor or legion.

blizz might one day make flying in those areas purchasable. but until then either farm it if you want to fly, or don’t, and walk.

Soo… there’s a way to unlock flying in those areas but because you didn’t do it in that expansion so you refuse to do it now and it’s unfair and thus the game is dying because it’s displeased you…?

No, no, no no no no no…

My wife and I just grinded the rep out for the reason of using flying in those expansions. Well, specifically, just Draenor.

Nah, the problem here isn’t that “Big Ol’ Blizzard” doesn’t let you have any fun. The problem is that you want things that others have worked hard to have. You don’t want to actually grind out crap that others did, you want your stuff and you want it now! It just sounds so entitled.

The reason MMO’s work in the first place is because of the grind aspect and showing others that you have something you’ve worked hard for; and before anyone jumps on the train of ‘How can you work hard in a game’, yea, I agree with you, gaming isn’t physical work and it IS just a game, so don’t complain about not getting things in a game others have “worked” to achieve.

Ta’da!

You object to pathfinder because it forces you to do old content that you would do if you could fly?

You don’t see the flaw here?

To each their own and all but I’m curious…
If you never played those expansions, how are they “old content” to you? I’d love to be able to go back and experience WoW from the start for the first time again.

I came back from a long break and had never done any WoD or Legion content, (came back a little less than a year before BfA launched). I had a blast playing through both of those expansions and got the PF achievs with almost zero “going out of my way”. /shruggg

I honestly don’t understand why they just don’t unlock the Draenor/Legion flying already.

I am in the same boat, 9 out of 10 times I just take a portal back to Orgrimmar. Zandalar is a beautifully designed city, but Christ, it is a maze.

If you didn’t play it then, then saying it’s “four year old content” is meaningless, because it’s not old content to you. You just want to only play the latest levels. That’s a valid viewpoint, but just own up to it and stop making poor excuses.

I have pathfinder from both wod and legion when they were current, it’s still dumb.

Do you think vanilla/bc/wrath/cata/mop should all have pathfinder as well, with a bunch of exalted reputations and questlines required to fly in those areas? If not, why do you think wod/legion are different?

If WOD TW is like the other TW you will be able to buy Rep Commendations and you could get the Pathfinder really really easy.

It’s all “unlocked” now. Not playing at content means you don’t have to wait for the patch that allowed flying in that xpac. You have no time-gates.

OP: Just do the dailies (which are easy peasy cuz you outlevel the mobs).

All it’s going to take is some time - which is a fraction of the actual time we spent waiting back then.

That’s your advantage for not being here back then. Do Not Complain and whine about this. It’s not “unfair” at all.

I mean. I hate to be that person, but…

I’ll never be a professional bodybuilder. I refuse to eat right and do strength training every day.

It’s not like it’s not achievable, even now, it’s just a grind I don’t want to do.

I don’t blame anyone but me for that, though.

I’ve played every expansion and never unlocked flying in any of them. Meh it’s just a boring grind to me, effort is not worth the reward. I’m usually bored and unsub by the time flying is available.

Listen, here it is. They took away flying in WOD and in all future expansions. They walked it back to pathfinder. That’s the price for flying now. Either do it or don’t. But be happy you have the opportunity to fly at all.

I’ll never be able to fly because I refuse to purchase it with gold.

I require sympathy from you all.
Blizz needs to remove the gold cost of flight.

I missed my chance to grind for the Netherwing drakes back when they were current content. Because I really wanted them, I went back and did them.

Still haven’t gotten Invincible. Still going back to farm him every week.

Some things you can’t go back and do, such as the cloak in Pandaria.

Anyone who wants to limit themselves by refusing to go back and get stuff they didn’t get when it was current certainly has that right. But they also shouldn’t complain about not having it, since that’s their own personal choice.
