I am playing a Prot Paladin for SL.
I want Night Fae armor
I want Kyrian’s Divine toll
then I want the teleport or the shapeshift speed.
I wish everything was unlocked and you can get all armor mogs, pick 1 class ability, and 1 signature ability.

Like that isn’t true at all, literally every single high end warlock went Nightfae the other night and it wasn’t for the fairy wings.

I was convinced that I would choose aesthetics over min/max, but I ended up choosing Fae for the conduits, soulbinds and cheesy fox blink.
At the risk of having my own covenant nerfed, the fox blink seems really strong and is likely the reason so many players chose the Night Fae.
Man what a completely wrong thread.
There’s a reason almost all rets and holy paladins are kyrian, most hunters are night fae or kyrian and almost nobody of any class is necrolord.
It’s because those covenants are by far the most powerful for those classes and specs, if it was all about aesthetics you wouldn’t see like 40% of a single spec picking the same covenant when other classes/specs have almost no representation in that same covenant.

Ursoc is dead for good, he willingly gave up his Anima to save Ysera i though?
Loa wise those that would have died after this would include Rezan Shadra and Hir’eek.
but we did get to see the likes of Mam’toth alive and well, so there’s hope for other loas as well
edit: okay wiki was a great resource to see it was a covenant thing, yeah he dead but again so is Ursoc. and funny enough while Shadra is accounted for Hir’eek still isnt.
For one it’s not dead, just not as relevant because the expansion launched. The whole thing was trying to have Blizzard fix the system prior to launch. Now we just have to wait until 9.1 or 9.2 instead.

Bro we aren’t even a week into the expansion. Pulltheripcord will be back with a roaring vengeance when raids, arena and M+ open up and people start to realize they picked the wrong covenant.

It’s funny that you think it’s stopped. No one is saying anything because we don’t have access to the content it matters. The minute m+ opens up I won’t be inviting people that are not optimal, if people are underperforming in raid due to covenant they will also be talked to and potentially sat. The covenant soulbinds and abilities need to be interchangeable. Period. It’s a terrible system otherwise.

Not sure what you’re talking about, the vast majority of people pick the one that has the ability that is best for their class/spec.
Some classes and specs got some flexibility because the abilities are close enough, so they pick the one they like more.
Almost nobody that I’ve seen picks the covenant with the ability that is simply crap for their class or spec because they like the appearance.

I’m just grateful Night Fae was good for a Hunter. It was my favorite covenant. I’m going to be seriously pissed if I have to switch. I just kind of got lucky that the covenant I wanted was near-bis.
I know it seems like it’s not that bad, but that’s because they nerfed the crap out of them so they could balance them. That’s exactly what I said they would have to do months ago.
Either way, these covenants are going to be completely out of wack by the end of the patch, and I still feel forced to play a covenant good for my class. If another covenant gets a lot strong, I will switch, and I will hate doing it.
I stopped at the point where you choose a covenant. The line is drawn, vote none of the above.
