I mean to be faaair, it could be so much worse! Don’t ask me how, but we now know Lady Calia Menethil is here to stay and the Forsaken going to LOOOOVE her even if it kills them (again)! Idk I just feel blech about this 15 minute questline. The Scarlet Crusade just retakes Gilneas while everyone is away and then they just disappear…
They should of had the survivors gathered around the city and Gilneans giving them the what’s what. The undead should be at best trying to keep their heads down helping where they can. Even a few from Silverpine raised during Cataclysm trying to reconnect with their Gilnean brothers and sisters.
You know really grinded my gears… head to Pyrewood. See all the Horde players dancing all over the city they destroyed. Crowley’s not even there to retake his town and Gilnean npcs are nowhere to be found in Southern Silverpine from Ambermill to the Gilneas Gate… If anything they’d be there to watch guard or do something! Feels weird that nobody thought… Not all Gilneas is taken… We just going to ignore that…
Every time I read the title of this thread, I picture it being read aloud in the same voice as the “I like turtles” kid. Bonus points because he is a perfectly normal human wearing zombie make-up, just like Calia!!!
I just don’t get why anyone listens to her at all. You’d think your average Lordaeron citizen would absolutely detest the name Menethil after everything. What exactly makes her qualified to rule?
Like say what you want about Sylvanas but at least them following her made sense since she basically single-handedly liberated them all and founded the faction.
They actually love her, even before she was created as she is now, arthas was the only one hated. the rest of the royal family who was beloved and believed murdered by arthas
Love her for what exactly? What has she done that makes her particularly qualified to rule over the Council of high ranking members of their faction they already have? I’m not even sure why she’s on the Council at all.
English Royals don’t exert any actual power and for good reason they’d probably lose their stations if they tried from the backlash.
They did in the past, but only because they had a network of royals with armies under them that acted as a base of their power, and even then they were frequently subject to being overthrown by another noble or cousin with a bigger army. They didn’t just waltz into the throne after being absent for a decade.
And to think people were foolish enough to think that things would actually improve with Metzen back. Things have sure taken a real nose dive since he’s been back and the World Soul Saga hasn’t even started yet and this isn’t even a full patch, just a half patch.
This is just the tip of iceberg of the narrative decisions we can expect going forward
Sometime in very early 2023 I would presume, since he’s had enough time to give us a general direction of where the World Soul Saga is going to go at blizzcon. But he’s been in a advisor role at blizzard since 2022. So, I dunno exactly what decisions he himself okayed. But he has a hand in advising the direction of WoW since 2022.
