Most certainly not. But it will lead to a ton of complaints about solo class balance when it is literally impossible to balance classes based on what content they can or cannot do without dedicating an absurd amount of resources towards scaling the Delves for each individual class and spec (which is a massive waste of time).
Just having the later levels give the higher crests would be great. I think delves are right at the right item levels, but being able to upgrade hero track items to max from delves would be great.
Guaranteed map drop would be nice. With how RNG the table is even if I get one now itâs likely to not be an upgrade because I might end up getting a duplicate.
Glad you are enjoying delves. Not much of a fan of them myself. Iâm still clinging to hope that they build on follower dungeons, and make them more of a progression path, even if it is just a heroic mode option.
Legit, they could be afraid itâll kill off group content.
Based on how M+ is going for PuGs, I think that sentiment is correct lol.
If the only way to do content is in cliques and already-established groups, is it really an MMO? Monster Hunter isnât an MMO, but it plays just like that.
I think group-content is just dying out. Largely because itâs not fun to fail. And hard/rewarding content is meant to be hard, so youâll be failing at it semi-often.
Raidingâs been on decline for years.
Relying on others to do the âcorrectâ thing is just, well, defeating. At least if youâre looking for a fun experience.
Thatâs why nobody has patience for noobs. Because nobody wants to sit down and teach stuff in a game thatâs been around for 20 years lol.
People should know what to do by now. And yet, they donât lmao.
Itâs bad from all sides, in a PuG environment. Thatâs just not good for any game.
I am curious as to what theyâre gonna choose to invest more into.
Give us 2 of the gilded crests in Tier 11 bounty chests, blizzard plz.
While you are correct about there being no new mobs aside from minibosses, I would reiterate that there are indeed changes to mob placement and mechanics.
Minibosses should not be skippable or rerollable. Those should be made static in each and every delve above T8 regardless of whether or not theyâre bountiful, and it should be possible for Zekvir to buff them. In fact, I believe they should be mandatory in T8 as welI. Bit odd these things arenât already implemented already.
In any case, the small group of crybabies responsible for those minibosses being removed from T8s do not represent the majority. Most of us are not, in fact, trying to dodge difficulty. We simply want our time and effort to be rewarded more appropriately at tiers above 8.
Monster Hunter World has a surprisingly populous community to this day, and you can join random groups at all tiers of gameplay.
What changes?
I experienced one right now, and it was new mobs.
Dread Pit, Tier 9.
Entered, and soon after there was a mini-boss surrounded by awakened-like neurubians. Iâll admit I had trouble with them cause I could pull them individually and their web bolts hit me for 1.5 million.
Hereâs the interesting bit: I reset it, but still a tier 9, and when I entered- they were gone!
So yes, there a new mobs, new things you encounter, but whether you encounter them or even have to deal with them can be random. In the one I did, for example, you had to face it to get one of the eartehn.
Second time, they werenât there and I cleared tier 9 was ease.
I donât know why they have this random level of difficulty, but yes, there are changes that take place, including new mobs, in higher tiers.
Another change I notice is what gets the purple beam. More common to be an elite/ mini-boss when itâs higher tiers.
Thatâs like saying someone who completes a school project alone doesnât deserve the same grade as a group completing a project, even if both results were of equal quality.
You canât compare the two in that fashion. The main challenge in group content is getting the group to function as one. The main challenge in solo content is knowing your role well enough that you can complete the content alone. They are not the same but the level of challenge is.
And aside from that, even if solo content were awarding the exact same rewards as high-end group content, youâve still done your job so you earned the reward. Oh, and it doesnât hurt the group people at all if solo people are getting these rewards, it just gives those that prefer group content another avenue to gear until they can do better in group content.
Itâs a win-win.
Delves are a great idea. Itâs the reason I started playing again after a REALLY long absence. However, there doesnât seem to be any point to doing anything past tier 8. You basically are just grinding out 8 (or 4) tier 8 delves and then waiting for a week to see if you won anything.
Not only is the reward lacking but there is a lack of variability in Delves. I sort of imagined mini dungeons that felt a little different each time. Why can you only find chests once? Imagine fighting past random monsters in a side area in order to (maybe) find a chest. Or even a rare fishing spot? I was certain before the expansion dropped that there would be special fishing spots inside Delves. Instead, they have fishing areas just like you can find outside? Boring!
Between my disappoint in Delves and the difficulty in getting into Mythic groups, the decision to unsubscribe was easy.
That was their âidea or goalâ when they introduced M+ back in the day⊠And look where we are now, after bringing it up and close to near end game rewards last expansion, they took a hard 360 nosedive and made it âalmostâ impossible to hit ilvl cap if you are only M+ Players.
What makes you think they wonât keep catering to 1 - 3% of the playerbase when M+ was literally their most played content in last expansion and may have even saved thousands of Subs?
Honestly, I thought they had finally realized how much they push players away by catering to this top 3% of high-end mythic raiders. Dragonflight and this expansion seemed to be putting things on the right track, but recent events and decisions are making me re-examine that assumption.
The idea is that youâd make them more difficult, not just increase the tier 8 rewards.
If you look at the actual high end of them, if harder = more rewarding is meant to be a thing, then unless they start tuning to a level WoW doesnât seem comfortable going to (e.g. FF14âs Omega Ultimate where even some of the best groups with full BIS werenât able to soft-carry one of the high profile streamers), solo is the only way to have difficult content.
Once the established Mythic groups get more geared, it will be a lot easier to get carried to raid achievements than LMSH, and because of the gear gap, the solo high end canât be appropriately balanced to be as difficult as it should be because the gear gap means people who did some untimed 10 keys can walk in with mythic gear that gives them a sizeable advantage over what can be expected for the intended progression system.
Wait what? Did they remove the level/rune grind?
itâs just assumed people are at max on League of Legends.
I donât think it would because I imagine most delves are grouped anyway. Outside of that make the rewards in line with mythic + and raid and I see no issue. Itâd be perfectâŠable to gear through another routeâŠagain assuming delves is appropriately hard.
Delves are literally an end-game system on par with M+, Raiding and PvP.
Theyâre not supposed to be considered a âstepping stoneâ that gets you from Point A to Point B like dungeons or world quests, although they certainly can be treated that way if you like them but want to do higher tiers of raiding or M+ instead.
My only complaint on Delves so far is if you queue for dungeons or LFR and get a spot, you lose your Delve progress. Which sucks because the same doesnt happen for World quests.
Amen. While I agree with OP that I hope this trend continues, letâs call it like it is. This is what Delves were made for.
You are the only limiter to your progress now, beholden to nobody else. Rejoice.
