I have no reason to raid anymore

i already stated the reasons which were more then loot.

400 ilvl gear already falls from the sky. Is this really neccesary?

If it was a buff to Arathi I might be for it, but this is nonsense.

The challenge? The accomplishment? Any of the dozen reasons beyond “but the gear tho”

I honestly think they listened to players saying they wanted more ways to get gear. Of course, i think the players just didn’t know what they wanted. I can say I usually want to raid, but this expansion I wont even touch dungeons let alone raid. No point since I can gey heroic level gear outside of heroics. It has kind of killed my desire to push content.

The other thing that has killed it for me is titanforging. I think they just need to go back to specific pieces having a gem slot, and if they really want to keep titanforging, have it add an additional gem slot and/or secondary stats like Leech and leave item levels alone.

If all you want is gear, you may as well wait 10 more years, and get iLevel 10000 green gear from killing 10 boars.

You raid because you like to raid. You raid because you want to have the gear at the end of the raid to be able to prosecute the next raid, and you want to be in the raid early so you can tackle the content with your friends. You do all that because you like to raid.

The only reason to “raid for gear” is to get gear faster than those who don’t. Faster than those who wait for the inevitable catch up mechanics to enter in to the game.

I haven’t hit 400 yet, I do a bunch of WQs and Emissaries, and a little bit of raiding. Anyone who’s in a group that regularly raids, and clears, content, is going to be higher level than I am. They are better prepared for the next level of content than I am.

So, bottom line, raid to raid and get gear faster. By the start of the next expansion, all of your gear is gone anyway.

You are generalizing all this people together, you cant lump all the people that raid ONLY for gear together as ragers and quitters this is something that depends on the individual.

if you earn a rng chance at 415 gear, xmogs, titles and a rng chance at a mount.

thats why people raid.its not really worth for the most part.

It’s why I can find a group for uldir and why BoD will be in the same boat come 8.2.

It’s why heroic dungeons are pointless hours after reaching 120.

Unless your running mythic raids now - or dungeons over 10, there are no upgrades.

WQs will now over gear heroic dungeons, up to normal raids, and anything short of +10. Falling almost equal to heroic raids.

There is nothing for the mid-tier player this expansion - it’s high end or super casual if you want the best gear now and that’s super disappointing.

They should at least scale everything else if they are scaling WQ rewards. It’s really pathetic and I am pretty casual player.

Sure it’s been. You can get the odd piece of gear outside raids. But, get real. If you are a dedicated raider and you are not sporting all 415-425 gear, you are doing something wrong.

Disagree.

Current raid 9 bosses and up to 5 bonus rolls. So 14 chances max at loot.

Mythic plus guaranteed 2 items i. The chest you may or may not get. Guaranteed item o. Tuesday. And you can repeat them as much as you want. That is the pote tial for WAY More than 14 chances.

As I said earlier we can take a fresh 120 and get them above 400 in less than a week. Plusses are far more efficient than raiding and you can get raid level gear or better for less organized effort.

I don’t see why not. Raging is a function of frustration from not meeting your goal killing the boss which equals gear. If people who raged were interested in the social aspect of raiding, they wouldn’t do it.

Quitting is also a symptom of impatience of reaching your goals, i.e killing a boss to get gear. If quitters were interested in any other part of the progress then also would not quit.

I started off this discussion comparing world content and raiding. Somehow, it either got changed or you are now changing it to compare mythic plus and raiding, for reasons unknown, since OP is quoting just world content rewards.

That’s not why all people raid mythic though.

titles, xmogs, rng gear, rng mounts is not why?other wise its not worth it to me.

I said this to my friend the other day, but if loot from other sources being a similarly high item level makes you want to quit raiding, did you really ever want to raid in the first place?

I raid with my guild because I really enjoy their company. They’re all close friends of mine, and I have a lot of fun playing with them. Loot from other sources being a similar ilevel just means there are more ways to augment my gear and make me a better healer when we raid together.

If other people can get good gear, it really doesn’t affect me.

I got ya. Bit plus has neem talked about thread too.

Under that context though I agree with you

Thanks for the clarification

For you. For you. You don’t raid mythic, but you’re trying to give a stance based on why people mythic raid? You have no horse in this race.

so why do they raid mythic to raid with friends???..lmao.

BFA has gave me no reason to play this expansion really. I just putz around in old content now because BFA is Flaming Garbage.

Probably because they like working together in very challenging group content and/or being part of an elite group that has the ability to conquer that level of content.

My guild heroic raids, partially because we’re not super hardcore, but also because we can’t keep a steady roster of 20 people. We’re lucky if we have 15 on any given night.
