When it is this, very clearly, automated not really much of a difference between a bot and someone sitting afk letting an addon run the ah.

My AH addon has a setting that when i log onto my bank toon if it finds anything listed in my buy if it finds under xx price it will auto buy it all. So if you post something under a certain price it auto buys it for me so i can relist it.

Auctioneer existed in classic, although it wasn’t as highly developed yet, and it caused the very same problems.

People are doing this because huge amounts of noobs are putting up items for less than the vendor price, and vendor sniping is a thing people do on retail.
Blame people putting up an item on the AH for 10s that you can vendor for 30s.

I noticed I can deactivated my combat logs and make it not communicate with others.
In WPvP that is great.

Yeah thats the AH botting addon that people use. I honestly wouldnt worry about it too much. You can makes tons of gold in classic without cheating like those people do.

There are no auction addons that allow you to sit afk and do everything for you. You MUST perform the action to list or buy.
Please let’s not spread false rumors and try to understand how exactly addons like Auctioneer and TSM actually work.

AH addons really just ruin the AH experience for anyone who isn’t using them, even in the best case.
No one wants to see 20-30 pages of 1-stack items, guys.

I mean people are just listing things at stupidly low prices…
Leveled my enchanting to 150 making wands and made a few gold in the process cause people kept posting essences for less than 5s/15s and you can buy those essences some simple wood from the vendor and make a wand that sells for 5s/15s to a vendor.
So it could be just regular people capitalizing on people posting things at such low prices.

maybe, but from what I have seen is certain individuals posting the same item for several screens. They do this with multiple items. So on my realm there are like 4 or 5 people doing this it seems like. To find a stack you have to tab through 15 different pages to start to find stacked items. really sucks.
