I got a week long ban for looking for a right-leaning guild

You just get a silence until a Blizz person reviews the report, and then takes the appropriate action.

Post this in the CS forum. That’s the only place where you will get a more serious blue response.

Every group has their crazies who go too far.

I mean, they do, but same case as stated above. Crazies gonna do stupid stuff.

Generalizing groups like “conservatives” into a box of specific beliefs so that it’s “okay” to hate them isn’t right either. There are conservative LGBTQ people and conservative atheists. Why do they deserve to be hated for what they don’t believe?

Because they use their religion to attack people? If they kept it to themselves, there wouldn’t be a problem, and their wouldn’t be a need for things like Pride parades.

It’s nothing new honestly. Gaming circles generally have the wildest people, but it’s entertaining lol. Had someone here recently say me talking about furry hackers meant that I was threatening them and I’m like you’re not important to want to threaten…

This is kinda false. We can see this sort of thing happen on these forums from time to time.

I think you mean that most of them don’t attack other people for their religious beliefs, but some do. For example, almost all of the regulars in the LGBTQ mega thread are very nice people, but there are a few bad actors that even they don’t associate with, generally. So, it does happen, and it is a shame.

The internet was a mistake! rabble, rabble, rabble! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Mostly joking about that. But, I think anonymity allows for a lot of these issues to to keep happening.

Yes, but have you considered that they genuinely believe that they think that their intervention is going to save people from an eternity of torture and hellfire? Like they actually believe this. What they are doing is rational from their point of view.

However, it is messed up when they use it to attack individuals they are supposed to “care” about by those same beliefs. Zealotry is a bad thing, for any cause. They will always go too far.

…I mean…this phrase sounds familiar. I swear I’ve heard this one somewhere.

Don’t start with the Whataboutisms…the entire history of humans is filled with people who don’t like gay/lesbian/gendernonconforming attacking them for their lifestyle, and nothing more. Members of society participating in taxes, community support etc.

You are trying to put the cart before the horse. Activism happens when people are oppressed.

Yep I’m totally sure that’s all you said and you aren’t leaving anything out. LOL.

Or irritable, or sleepy, or hungry, or ate too much, or slept too much, or really for any reason. Activists just love to complain, that’s their whole shtick.

We have too many activists and not enough people actually doing anything to improve the lives of people around them.

Right, whatever. That is the problem, people don’t tell the other church members to keep it to the church. The thinking that they have a right because they read a fantasy/horror fiction novel.

Sorry, now you are really lumping all groups who use activism as one. You are pretty much just lookin for a box of straws.

Do you not comprehend the word rarely?

So if the religious people who see their fellows in religion are zealots and using religion to justify oppressing and hurting LGBTQ+ people, they’re not doing enough to speak out, clearly. Because the zealots are making laws, using political power to hurt at this moment.
It’s not exaggerating to say if you’re a religious person and care about this happening in your religion’s name you’re not doing enough.

There is a difference between being innocent and conveniently innocent. Ones True the other leaves out Facts

When someone sounds conveniently innocent it’s always a lie

That’s irrelevant. Religion is personal, just because a religion says to proselytize doesn’t mean it’s appropriate to do so in society of mixed beliefs. There’s plenty of outlets where someone’s able to do that, and anyone who wants to find it is easily able to do so of their own accord since there’s different religious organizations on nearly every corner.

This is a bit different when society as a whole is perfectly accommodating to sexualization when it’s the right kind. Either have a problem with all of it or stop the bigotry?

Your entire post is you being offended.

Tell me how pouring soup on a 300-year-old painting helps save the world?

America raised 2 generations of activists and if anything, the world is getting more intolerant.
