I’ve gotten those also. Problem is they make so much gold off botting and takes way too long to get banned. They simply just use another account, pay for boosted toon and repeat.
Notice a few things there that blizz would like about it? Paying for another account and paying for a character service. Blizz says they ban in waves, but they also profit off it a lot.
They make players happier saying they banned, while filling their pockets with cash again when the botters use more of their services.
Why would they ever want to end botters? It would go against their goal as a business to make more and more money.
They could care less about how happy we are with a game anymore. Almost all game companies are just greed.
Static flight is just noclipping through the world. Both points have been made by others above, and both static and dynamic flight are great and both have their useful places.
But dragon riding is way closer to what actual flying is.
On the Cooper-Harper scale, I would rate static flying a 1 (Pilot compensation not a factor for desired performance) and dynamic flying a 3 (Minimal pilot compensation required for desired performance).
Granted, I have twenty years in the simulated Stupid Airplane Tricks business, with experience with helicopters, multi-engine turboprops, and multi-engine jets. And I recognize that what I enjoy about dynamic flight is exactly what other people hate about it.
Which is why I’ve always said that both should be available, so you can use what you want.
I’ve been behind the “wheel” if you will, of an actual plane. Granted, I was 13 and it was a Cessna 182. Guy put us in a dive and told me to pull us out of it. He was a drunk and a total joker idiot, but he knew I’d had experience with flight simulators. Of course, after my freaking the eff out and him laughing his butt off, I got us into a stable position. It wasn’t that terribly difficult. Cessnas are good about that, I hear.
I’m not really certain if I have a solid point here about flying in-game, sorry.
Garrosh would never use regular flying. He’s a fast and tough brute. Nor would he accept an apology as he would never give one (as he did nothing wrong).
Personally, I’m only leaning towards dynamic because Dracthyr and even Demon Hunters, who both have wings, still can’t fly standard. When/if they change that, I’ll meet balance for both. Otherwise I just enjoy Soaring.
There were plenty of posters who said they thought normal flying should be eliminated entirely.
Was in a DHT last night where a demon hunter wiped the group twice gliding down off that tree into the same 2 packs of mobs when he should have just jumped. They can’t be trusted.
They both have their place. Static flying is great when you only have to go 20 feet to the next node. If you’re going any distance dragonriding is far superior.
People complain about lack of precision, when there is literally an ability that can slow you down for those precision landings. Even recharges vigor if you going fast enough.
