They both have their place. Static flying is great when you only have to go 20 feet to the next node. If you’re going any distance dragonriding is far superior

This! Having both options is objectively superior gameplay because you can play literally however you want to play.

Dynamic flight is for A to B (with some stank on it) Classic flight is for collecting and slow rolling through the sky.

Yea this the biggest thing for me. Especially when i am trying to fly around the emerald dream doing seeds. The shirt trips dont give me enough time to build up vigor so sometimes i switch to normal flight

Maybe we could stop calling it “Static”. Some clown at Blizzard came up with that to infer that the mini-game is somehow superior, which it is not.
What we’re having to work so hard to activate is nothing less than “Classic” or “Standard” flying. The Dragon Derby is the aberration, no matter what Ion and his flying monkeys call it.

So, when dynamic “Dragonriding” was released I loved it. It was fast, it felt like you were actually flying on a beast. Still in terms of precision it wasn’t that great. Now that I have Static flight again I’m finding it’s much easier to collect nodes with it then overshooting with Dragon riding.

I certainly prefer dragonriding personally. But playing druid currently its just quicker on most trips when questing to use druid flight form.
If I were taking the time to mount anyway, Im going for a DRing mount

I was always in the enable both camp. Forcing people to unlock normal flying when we had what many consider superior flying from day 1 felt rather silly,

• it was an insult to those who were having trouble with DRing to give everyone else flight for doing literally nothing but running some easy quests, to then pull this pathfinder trash in ANY form on those who might be lesser abled. Ive seen some disgusting crap from this company before this expansion, but that particular detail was the worst Ive ever seen. Not even my ex wife would target lesser abled people like that.

Yeah I prefer OG flying for farming. I’ve definitely had to flip a U turn more than once trying to herb with dragonriding lol

So true. I frankly, and shocked that this company is allowed to target poor people in the same way. It is evil to design a game that forces people to have a computer and the internet.

The only case I can make for old flying is herbing in the Emerald Dream if I hit too many branches. Dragonriding precision just comes with experience.
