There is only dynamic flight for me.
Both can and should coexist from day one without issue, sadly Ion and Co seem to still have some unhealthy hatred of static flying.
Dragon riding is awesome for getting there, but sucks for exploring.
I for one am happy to be able to use my sapphire panther again, it’s just better at tree trunk altitude.
Returned to Wow mostly because of Dynamic flight.
Personally I am glad some dev decided to ignore the “flight ruined wow old guard” and made flying interactive fun in and of itself.
Had a lot of fun learning it and getting all the glyphs.
It is my preferred flight style for everything.
(I do still on occasion use ground mounts, not static flying though)

anyone tried doing the outlands mount quest in bladeedge mountains with Dynamic flight?
it really hard to throw bombs at the enemy why trying to aim and maintain you mount properly, it is fun but at the same time really hard.
i just found out about it because i was doing the outland cups and remember that zone flying questline and thought to try it.
if you guys haven’t? and want a challenge i did recommebed.
Nah, static flying crowd is still wrong.
different flying types have different advantages, more news at 11
Dragon riding is for fast “i have to be there yesturday, static for i need precision/chill/eat my way there”
Everyone has their preferred way to fly. But after being able to Dragonride, I never touch Static. Just feels pointless to me.
I didnt know that was ever a crowd.
I might have interpreted wrong. Just how it felt like to me sometimes.
Have people completely forgotten why Blizzard has hated static flying since MOP?
They can’t coexist. Static flying needs to die.
Static flying is more like turning on hacks in a video game and skipping over everything with 0 failstate.
Personally I am glad some dev decided to ignore the “flight ruined wow old guard”
…pretty sure they still think this, but only about static flying.
Cause they’re right. Static flying is unimmersive, it can barely even be considered gameplay. It’s legitimately less immersive than a walking simulator.
Good lord, who hurt you?
Oh, wait. It’s just Doob.
Unimmersive? Using hover I can enjoy the environment, see the world in all its often beautiful detail and experience the vast open spaces and green and gold world. Dynamic flight = getting from A to B as fast as possible, ignoring everything as they press the buttons to dive or soar or whatever to build up speed. The environment - the world - is unimportant except as something to get through as quickly as possible.
Do you reckon those F1 drivers get to enjoy their surrounds as they belt across the countryside? No, its just obstacles to avoid in order to drive faster. Dragonriding is the same.
I wouldn’t bother. It’s just his thing. I’m honestly surprised he spends money on new accounts so he can post.
I can enjoy the environment, see the world in all its often beautiful detail and experience the vast open spaces and green and gold world.
yea, I can do that if I play Mario 64 on an emulator and turn on flight mode.
But I don’t have time to sit and stare at the world with the flight cap! It’s only on for a limited time! and requires precise movements to achieve maximum height!
Oh wow I can really soak in the world in this Assassins Creed game now that I’ve disabled climbing and enabled “float” mode. I’ve made the game better!!!
If you want to look at the world land on a mountain…ffs.
Have a great day!
