only because you do not know.
What in game rules are actually changing?
if we are talking about retail design philosophy then yes, leveling would be consider irrelevant.
But classic was made for and because of people who disagree with that philosophy, so why are they implementing it now in TBC?
The only logical explanation for this change is that after the unexpected huge success of classic vanilla they realized that classic was not this small thing(they only launched 10 servers at the start of classic), so now they are going to exploit it for all its worth without caring for the reasons classic was created in the first place.
I wouldnt say classic will be irrelevant, NAXX will have level 70 pugs 24/7 for the KT phylactery quest and of course the t3 swag.
I keep seeing posts about Bots boosting to 58 like that is some major concern. I have yet to see anyone produce any credible evidence that bots even purchase boosts.
Until someone can show me where there is a direct correlation between “Paid” boosts and the number of bots or gold-farmers, then that argument is just false and being used to induce fear where none should be.
Cool that u r repeating a streamers point of view. Thats really a novel phenomenon on the forums. As is sarcasm.
go to this video, minute 28. he explains exactly what you are asking. boosting will make bots 86x times more effective. you can even check the math in the video.
Oh, MadSeason made a video! Yep that proves it everyone! Case closed! We can all go home, the topic is thoroughly examined and explained…
Leveling 1-58 was irrelevant even in TBC. (Outside of new races).
Point being - if you had all the characters you needed going into TBC - there was no reason to level 1-58. zero.
Who cares who made the video, you have your evidence right there.
If there is a more efficient way to do the exact same job and win 86x times the money they would be crazy not to do it.
The video does not provide credible evidence of any correlation to bots and boost, the entire thing is subjection and conjecture. At no point did the video provide credible evidence of bot activity increasing with boosts.
All it does in make assumptions and speculations about what MIGHT happens.
Vanilla world isn’t BC content. Why would someone want to waste so much time in defunct content, cause let’s be real, no one is going to be doing the dungeons legitimately and having fun like the utopia-style old world everyone wants.
Are you serious? it proves that there will be a way bots can make 80 times more money than they do now in classic because of the boosts, do you even know what correlation means?
Will bots use it?
Well, why wouldn’t they?
It’s not that you have not found evidence, you just don’t care for it.
There is no reason to discuss things with people like you.
Oh, I was not aware you had a crystal ball that shows you exactly what Classic TBC is going to be like. I’m sorry, by all means continue to enlighten us with your future knowledge.
Good point, makes sense. the expansion isn’t the same, then things change.
One youtuber’s pencil scratching based on an incorrect reddit post are not evidence. If it is, then give me 30 min and I will have a video on youtube contradicting MadSeason’s rational. I mean if its a Youtube video it must be evidence by your logic.
Well, if there is a way you could do the exact same job for the exact same time but earn 86 times more money than you do now, what would you do?
You don’t have to see the future to know the answer to that question.
Anyone with a functioning brain can answer it.
And anyone with a, as you put it, functioning brain, knows that boosting is not the problem with bots. Take away boosting and there will still be the same number of bots doing the exact same thing they are doing.
The key is correlation, boosts do not have a direct correlation to bots or the number of them.
You are being obtuse and single-minded, thinking “Oh, this one guys said boosting is bad!” and take it as gospel, you have not tried to think about it from a rational perspective.
That would be a very good solution. This reign of bots must end.
Why is it when someone “has played since vanilla” they usually have sub 10k achieve points and feel like they need to point this out. From what I’ve seen everyone on the forums has played since vanilla.
