I dissagree with the Light being the Bad guys

I genuinely fail to see the logic in what you’re trying to get accross here. The need for unions exists because the interests of the owner of the means of production and that of his workers are fundamentally antagonistic : the owner wants to make profit, and can only make profit by appropriating surplus value, keeping the costs of production low, accelerating the production rates, etc. So him making money always comes at the expense of the workers’ wages and working conditions one way or another. That’s literally the only way he can make extra profit off labor. It’s in that context that unions exist to alleviate the workers and defend their interests.

So, kick out government without kicking out capitalism and expropriating owners first, and you haven’t done anything at all about the reasons why unions exist in the first place. If anything, you’ve made the situation significantly worse, because now you don’t even have labor laws anymore to force the employer to comply to a set of minimum standards.

Honestly. Considering how wages have not increased at the same rate as the prices on the products we are buying kinda suggests that they are not interested in anything but exploiting us. Companies are getting richer, but wages of the workers do not move an inch.

I like how people can look at that and think: “Wow, that guy on top really is doing good work” and then look at the guys on the bottom carrying the guy on top with their backs almost breaking; “You are all so lucky to be working there!”

It is insanity.

Really, I consider the best kind of capitalistic society to be one where the free market also plays ball - but they do not play ball because of corporate shaft-chokers who continue to excuse the behavior of the top in said businesses.

'tis a shame, really.

The train derailed badly here.

Strawman.

I clearly stated that the Union was necessary in that circumstance.

Regulators work for the industries they are meant to regulate. ALWAYS.

I so badly want to show you, but I actually came here to discuss wow. So I’ll just let everyone think I don’t know what I’m talking about

Ok back to WoW then

The Light can suck it

Since every post of yours so far has been shown to be nothing but trigger bait, why should yours about economics and society be any different?

There is no logical reason why working class should pay extra taxes so millions of poor people have the same living standard.

The real crime against society are those of the wealthy who pay virtually no taxes at all when you consider their income.

You’re a weirdo for thinking it’s “stupidly edgy” and you’re really under thinking.

False equivalency. In this day and age you should know better than make a statement that nescient.

This is on top of the fact that thanksto technology, productivity per worker is at an all time high.

I am not against social welfare. I am against the state controlling EVRYTHING.

Billionares existing don’t hurt me as long as the prices for all the stuff I like stay low. The liberal democracy is a concept that was withold the test of time.

Yeah… about that. Prices keep going up, productively keeps going up, but wages have stayed the exact same since the mid 70s.

Billionaires also hurt the entire world through driving climate change and choosing not to solve world hunger, which would take a fraction of their wealth.

Nah, nobody ever had a problem with the Scarlets, and even Yrel’s crusade caused more grumbling about her heelturn than about the concept. It’s the idea of the Light itself being sinister that bugs (some) people, and I get that because it feels like a retcon.

I don’t think the new lore is suggesting that the Light itself is sinister ? Only that it’s a cosmic force like any other that’s devoid of inherent moral value

Which changes nothing to the fact that many mortal races would be naturally drawn to it for faith/comfort/power

Maybe sinister isn’t quite the right word, but I meant it in the sense of “something you should be worried about” rather than “actively evil.”

i mean if you weren’t worried about the strong source of magic fueled by the power of friendship and the firmness of your believy-weevies in classic, idk that might be on you. that sorta thing seems preeeeeetty suspect in any circumstance.
