Praise Jeezbus!
Well in this case it’s the modern religion of the left. Idk what you call it. Satanism maybe.
I’d say until the end of MoP in terms of main quest campaigns. From that point onward it’s been between ‘tolerable’ and ‘horrific mess’.
And like I said, it’s very possible this writing team can make good stories. A lot of the side quests and smaller quest chains? Actually well done. They just can’t write an extended story.
I still enjoy the game, and I like the individual stories both in game and what players come up with.
In regards to the writing team, as one consuming a product, I have every right to criticize it because I care about it. You trying to dismiss my opinion by trying to insinuate that I suddenly don’t enjoy the game because I think the TWW campaign thus far is not good isn’t going to do anything.
Someone needs to get off the Internet for a time I see.
We even had to destroy a book about the fundamentals of learning to use magic. What is the point of that? lol
Same way we burn offerings to the spirits. It’s just a symbolization of lost to the dead. You see it in shows like Ted Lasso where they burn things that offer great meaning to them for the dead.
But that’s basically every villain in Warcraft written. It’s like the writing team only ever watched Yu-Gi-Oh. Every time someone attacks a villain they just cop out with a trap card, together with some narcissistic speech how much better they are or planned it.
Take the second boss in Necrotic Wake for example. The Blue angel says something about clearing the skies and the boss goes ‘Herrr actually, nah’ and does something to instantly incapacitate the Kyrian.
It’s so boring.
I almost feel like it was more likely these old farts don’t want to let anybody else learn magic like them. Like they are just hogging knowledge now. Because they are scared of people like kelthuzad. That guy that we killed how many times now. Rofl
Nah, the basic book is something that is super common. It literally was just the basics. Nah, it was more of a symbolization of letting go of the old for the new.
There probably thousands of copies floating around.
Perhaps so. But for now it seems the best way to defeat our foes is by continuing to hold our friends hands and blast them with our powers of love and kindness.
I’ve never seen more heroes just give up than in this expansion. Lol
But I suppose if we keep believing in ourselves we can overcome anything.
I didn’t see any giving up. I saw them going “the old ways aren’t working anymore, let’s rebuild into something new and more flexible”.
Dalaran has served as the vessel that saved the world many times now. Nothing about it wasn’t working. Bad people saw it as a threat because it was.
What do you not like about the story? What is different about it compared to the past that makes you dislike it now?
Because in my view the story of TWW is so far the culmination of like 20+ years of storytelling in this game.
Like, take the Siren Isle for example. Watch this video and tell me the writing team isn’t going off 20+ years of WoW lore:
It just feels like people aren’t really paying attention to the story and then complaining about it because "this isn’t like my old WoW’, but it literally is.
I mean, the kirin Tor led to a lot of demons coming in and creating some of the worst villains in warcraft history. Mostly because of how strict they were.
They just kinda coming to terms that no matter how much they saved, they also let those matters come to worse. There is no lich king without kel’thuzad. Kel’thuzad wanted to destroy everything because of the kirin Tor.
He went full Vader.
Forgot the blood elves wouldn’t be blood elves without my epic boney boy.
We’re fighting KT again in Dalaraxxramas.
I want to fight lich king KT. He seemed he would be a great lich king.
Bad people will find ways to be bad no matter what the rules are, or what is around for them to take advantage of. Building a wizard school instead of a floating city will just yield a Voldemort instead of a Vader.
Although now I hope they make a wizard school for us to run around in.
Go review all the old school emotional WoW cut scenes and cinematics of sad NPCs sharing feelings and spreading forgiveness and peace. Then tell me it’s the same.
That’s because the story telling is trying to put factions together, the same way you see Aethas as Alliance is the way I see entertaining Jaina as Horde which we have many times.
Yeah, this is just them licking their wounds. Reminds me of when in legends star wars, after the Jedi order fell, when Luke rebuilt it he rebuilt is different from the old order.
Now Jedi are allowed to love and have families, they don’t need to wear robes and were allowed to use blasters more. This led to a greater Jedi order than before but they let go a lot of the old rules of the Jedi order
Seems this will be the same with the new kirin tor.
