I cant start BFA

Both of those requests would require a ticket. Either ticket for “Stuck on Quest” or ticket for “Refund”. Neither can be done via the forums unfortunately.

I have done a ticket and was blown off completely, basicly told me to search the articles which i have done and have tried everything in there none of which even relate to the issue im having which is the quests are not in the log. thats the part im annoyed with is how my ticket was completely ignored, they didnt even look at the main reason for the ticket

I believe he did that:

But he receive what would seem to be an unsatisfactory response, so he came here for further assistance. I would recommend yet another ticket. If you are able to re-open the same ticket it would be better. Mention in the new or re-opened ticket that you are affect by a bug or glitch that is preventing you from starting BfA so they don’t just dismiss the ticket with a “we can’t give hints” reply.

No problem. Good luck. (that part at the bottom is good advice too)

Just did some testing, and ran a horde orc warlock through Exiles Reach and skipped the tutorial. I was able to grab the intro quest to BFA and complete the quest chain to get to Zuldazar.

I also created an Allied Race horde character and was able to start the BFA quest right away.

Has anyone had any problems with Horde characters? Or is it likely just an Alliance issue?

If you take my reply out of context and without their reply, sure! They said:

Which is what I was replying to. When you take my quote out of context, sure it makes the reply different. You suggested that they need to make a ticket…which, completely ironically, is what I said too!

PSA: Try using full quotes to keep the context of a post or reply so it’ll make more sense!

This is happening in Icecrown server, and it is widespread. No questgiver to start BFA. I tried abandoning all quests in my log with no real solution. I also tried to party sync with friends who just finished the exile’s reach quest line to see if I could get to their phase and maybe see Anduin (who, like many have expressed, is not in the throne room and thus cannot give the quest), but we get a message that says that my friends are on a class trial.

I have submitted a ticket, but wanted to bump this thread so the issue is recognized by the developers.

Also, one thing that I read in general chat, but cannot confirm it myself is that if you are not a level 10 following the questline directly from Exile’s Reach, you need to be level 45 to access BFA. That doesn’t make any sense to me, but wanted to share that.

People at Icecrown say that the problem is only on the Alliance side. Horde has no problem of starting the quest.

Edit: I can confirm in Horde works as intentioned. I was able to get the quest giver with my Level 27 Hunter.

That would be useful information to post in Bug Reports. QA does not take bug reports from the Customer Support forum and the SFAs here are not liaisons with them.

MY wife has the same issue on her alt was a 110 now 45. Had the Battle for Lordearon quest. Took the option to skip, turned that quest in over by the injured soldiers on the docks, and was never presented with Tides of War to meet in the Throne Room.
She has bounced all over the timelines, dropped all quests just incase of a in progress phase issue, did full reboots, left and came back to Stormwind, even took the Boat to Boralus and tried the Heroes Boards. We have submitted a ticket but given the responses we have gotten on several of the other tickets we have submitted I am not overly optimistic.

Bugs happen not everying can be predicted and some problems take longer then others I would also avoid using abreviations for certain words thats not gona do u well.

If you have an idea about the cause, I’m sure that they’d be happy to hear about it! Posting in the Bug Report forums with the specifics would certainly be appreciated!

I’m not too sure that there’s a timeline on how long this thing should take to be honest.

Did it occur to you that there were only thousands of players testing, they weren’t required to transfer low alts or start new characters, and there may not have been a lot of players doing those quests in Beta and PTR?

And how do you know they haven’t figured out what the problem is? Knowing what the problem is doesn’t make the fix appear from thin air. How much code is involved? How much testing do you want them to do with the fix, seeing as you are claiming they don’t do enough testing?

Those are the “obvious” things you know about. Are you positive they are the only things affecting this? Are you sure they didn’t put in fixes that fixed for some but not all? Are you aware that multiple bugs can have the same result in-game, so fixing one does not fix them all?

Employee of Blizzard, can you just confirm that you know the issue that Alliance char don’t have anymore the invitation to talk to king to start BFA chain quest?

So everybody will be aware that your working to fix it!

Just because there isn’t a Blue post about something, doesn’t mean that Blizzard is oblivious to a problem. By this point after the patch, they are aware and are aggressively fixing the major problems as fast as they can.

It’s just a bit scary when the responses they give seem to misunderstand the problem. I got a canned GM response in game encouraging me to drop the quest and try to restart it and to check wowhead if I get stuck again.

The responses are templates, encouraging you to try and solve the problem yourself with some guidance. If you are still unable to do anything, simply reopen the ticket, and they will get back to you asap.

I don’t get your point at all. They break it during the last fix… because it was working fine before the last hot fix. Now the quest is simply not showing up. There’s no ticket or other mechanic that will help us get back that quest. They need to revert some coding or fix an error in it to make the quest show automatically or put a little NPC during the time they fix it so we can launch the quest.
