I bought the annual pass, but didn't get free mount?

And what I’m arguing is that if someone already had five months of active game time, then signed up for the 12-month subscription in November 2022, that would’ve applied an additional 12 months of game time, for a total of 17 months. Their next 12-month subscription renewal would be billed in April 2023.

Their next 12-month subscription would be billed on April 2024, not 2023. The difference between November 2022 and April 2023 is 5 months, not 17. The 12-month subscription purchase was immediate and the renewal date for the sub was 12 months + whatever gametime is remaining.

To be clear and to provide an example, when I purchased the 12-month sub in November, my renewal date became March 2024 and I was immediately charged for that 12 months in November.

No it wouldn’t, you paid upfront when you bought the 12 months. I already had a reoccurring 6mth sub but bought the year. I was charged for the year when I made the purchase and the time was added to what I’ve already paid for. That’s how these always work.

I’m seeing this reason more and more, and I think it needs addressed. Beyond someone else fraudulently using your card, there is no such thing as an “unexpected time”. Blizzard is quite clear exactly when anyone’s card will be charged. It’s on the Account Management page.

There’s a point where Blizzard’s responsibility ends. From there, it’s your personal responsibility to understand what is happening with your finances. Set a calendar reminder, write it down, whatever you need.

The fact is, to receive this mount, your subscription needs to be recurring. Cancelling it makes you ineligible for the mount. No one here is supporting or trashing the policy. It just is what it is. It’s a marketing promotion with a specific goal: to keep players on recurring subscriptions. You’re free to make the choice not to be, but that means you won’t be eligible for the mount. It’s available on the Shop.

That said, and it cannot be stressed enough. This mount is being delivered for the next two weeks, until July 24th. If you haven’t received it now and you believe you are eligible, then wait to see if it comes before July 24th.

Please do not encourage players to use subversive and fraudulent means to “get their way”. Not only can there be real-life consequences to doing such a thing, in the end, you still won’t “get your way” with Blizzard.

Same here 12 month subscription yet no mount? What’s up with that, I feel like I was cheated out of a mount for being a renewal subscriber, if this issue doesn’t resolve by the end of the mount I’m afraid I’m done with this game, treating loyal customers like this isnt acceptable

If your sub is set up to auto renew, you will get the mount. It usually takes a few days for them all to be sent out. In this case, Blizzard has stated the 24th as the last day.

If you do not have an auto-renewing sub (if you cancelled it at some point) then no, unfortunately, you will not receive the mount.

Make sure you check for a gift package icon at the top of the Bnet desktop app. Click on it, choose your region, claim it. Then log into the game and go to your mount collection tab and unwrap the mount.

Mounts were already received from those promotions. Probably whatever encouraged you to do a longer sub in the 1st place? This is a different mount, on basically the same promo. Have a recurring sub, get some stuff. If cancelled, there is no recurring sub, whether thats for 1 month or 6 months. Therefore, no stuff. It has nothing to do with how much time is left on your account. It’s if your sub is recurring.

It’s not on Bliz if you require reminders to cancel, if that’s your intent. You’re a grown adult that signed a contract. If you’re interested in any promos for recurring subs they do in the future, I suggest setting one back up and finding a way to remind yourself should you decide to cancel. This type of promotion seems to be becoming a pattern, and you don’t want to be caught off guard next time.

If your ticket gets your requested result, please update us. I’m sure many would like to know.

I am in the same situation. I am subbed until March 2024 (so I have plenty more than 6 months rn) and I didn’t get the mount. I opened two tickets, but so far, nothing. I offered to ‘re-enable’ the auto renew function, but they said they’re not selling the 12-month sub any longer and so there is no way to re-enable it. In a way, they are plain rejecting my money.

What was suggested is that I re-sub with the 6 month. But for that, I’ll be charged immediately and get 6 months on top of my current sub time, which is just something I would not like to do - unless they would charge me only in March.

This is sad, being punished for getting the annual pass instead of a 6-month. I might lose this mount and never ever participate in any kind of promotion like this again. Way to teach me a lesson, Blizzard.

The thing is you aren’t being punished. No one forced you to cancel the subscription they you had. These promos have always worked this way, you only get the mount if you have a renewal date.

Right now you do not have a subscription. Right now you just have prepaid time until March.

You can always purchase the mount separately or use WoW tokens purchased with in game gold.

I’m sorry this happened to you and it’s a tough lesson to learn, but Blizzard isn’t punishing you.

It’s not really rejecting your money when they no longer offer, and as such can’t process, an option that no longer exists. The option to be charged immediately for 6 months is annoying, but is how the process works. Having worked in corporate finance for a whole lot of years, I can tell you that in a larger company, exceptions to billing practices, even for small amounts such as a 6 month sub, often take some rather high approvals and usually only for errors. Big ones.

I’m sorry you feel punished, and I can understand why, but just like sales (go, go Amazon prime days, so evil!), there are terms to the promotions. This one is rewarding active subs of certain length or longer. For one of these promos, I really wanted the mount, so re-upped another 6 month sub. I’ll cancel it if or when I’m done and let it run out, but if that’s the case, I’ll no longer are about mount promotions. :woman_shrugging:

If people who had already canceled their renewals are getting the mounts then the precedent has been set.

If others who canceled their renewals don’t get the mount Blizzard has no leg to stand on.

They have to treat everyone equally once they gave the mount to others who had canceled.

Blizzard has to give the mount to EVERYONE on a one year sub, period.

I would suggest posting in general or ingame suggestion feature is is available to anyone under 20 if u want ur voice heard.
