Bm is a choice, period. It has two hero talents paths. Bm is viewed as just broken.
Agreed that BM has become the Pack Leader fantasy. They summon crows, Hati and Fenryr, dire beasts, and have two companion pets.
Survival and Beastmastery shared an ability, so Blizzard just tried designing around it.
Be more interesting if Pack Assault actually looked like itâs name. Have a modern version of Stampede that would summon all five of your active pets at once. Could spawn one at a time in quick succession using a special ability. The build up beforehand would cause your pet to grow larger and have some bloody effect.
I vaguely remember BM having a talent around MoP/WoD or so where casting so many cobra shots would summon a cobra pet that would attack the target, could have been an option for Pack Leader. And Survival could potentially activate it with Serpent Sting with a internal cooldown to keep it from being OP in AOE
If weâre going to go full wc3, why not have a ranged quillboar, a flying lightning striking eagle hovering overhead, and a big fat stunning bear out during combat? I donât know how it could be implemented, maybe as procs from normal abilities or something.
They just really need to move away from KC being THE talent for Survival in the Pack Leader tree. Just pure laziness.
It works for some classes like Slayer for Fury/Arms with execution but KC functions entirely different from Survival and BM.

Its like you have a brain tumour that makes you unable to process any additional information once you read that Basilisk Collar will be nerfed.
Do not post any futher replies without acknowledging all the additional changes, including all the massive increases to BM AoE they bring, and an explanation as to why the increased AoE wont increase the AoE.

My point, to the other people reading (because this guy is clearly a troll) is that the changes weâre getting in NOVEMBER will not fix BM AoE problem, and we will need to wait for even further future changes. So weâre waiting a month for âfixesâ that wonât fix anything. Sadly.

Too dense to know that for BM, pet damage is EVERYTHING. People simply thought that trying to maintain dots on targets was âtoxicâ for BM gameplay, that if you donât do the dots, you donât do any serious damage.
Same story with 9.2 SV and how âtoxicâ you had to spam KC to get cd-free WFB, despite the irony KC is spammed now for Tips. Thatâs all it takes, is for a few dummkopfs to say a design is âtoxicâ to get rid of it in favor of a downgrade.
And if you look on the Hunter Trueshot Lodge discord where all the extensive testing is collated by a bunch of people including the people who literally write the class guides the general consensus is that these changes are great and will bring BM up to par with MM.
Testing personally shows the same thing everyone else there is finding.
Pack Leader needs some work but Dark Ranger BM is doing just fine.
But maybe the entire Hunter discord community is wrong and youâre the one true bearer of truth, lol.
This. Everywhere else is showing nothing but BM overall getting buffed and people also forget Kill Command is getting a 20% buff as well.

Both MM and BM Hunters talents and Hero talents need to be rework. Both range specs are terrible. Survival ( melee ) Hunter should never been part of hunter class at all. If i wanted to play SV , i go play a warrior.

If I had to guess, Pack Leader has a rework coming Soonâ˘, but it needs more TLC than Dark Ranger. When it gets reworked Iâd expect it to be a major patch, like 11.1 if weâre lucky.

Proceed to check pro Hunter YouTube channels, consensus is that BM Hunter AoE damage will require more work to be on par.

Pack Leader is trash but it was not a highly anticipated class fantasy people are really itching to have fulfilled compared to Dark Ranger.
Dark Ranger I believe was one of the first Hero Powers shown too? So it had more eyes on it
To be fair Dark Ranger is basically a complete re-do, too. But yeah, Pack Leader they need to just go right back to the drawing boar and conjure something completely different.

Pack Leader needs to sync with MB more. Give it a node that says, âKC allows your next MB to be free and do 10% more dmg. Stacks 3 timesâ This would give us the ability to build up stacks from afar with KC and then jump in and go crazy with MB.
Also, it is called PACK LEADER, and yet there isnt anything do to with more pets. Have an ability in the tree that says âKC has a 20% chance to summon a pet from you Stable for 15 seconds. Will attack and KC like normal.â This also doesnt have an internal CD, so occasionally you will proc it multiple times and you will have 2-3 pets out at once. Would be so cool looking.
These seems like pretty straight forward things, and yet the Devs cant see it.

Pack Leader used to be good, before the politics at large thought that pet damage was too high. Crazy for the most pet-reliant spec, I know. Why wouldnât it be a big deal to nerf Basilisk Collar?
PL was fine for its goal as a hero class. I donât why all of a sudden, BMs have to be more diverse than using a pet. It could be given its own class to be that and more within this very cycle. Interns right now can start brainstorming in the office how to do it.
