I am reaching Blizzard in all ways that I can. My name is Lilyberry and I am on the Deviate Delight server. I also stream at {Removed} I have been camped by a player named {Removed} for 4 days straight now. She has used my stream to find me, and also she has another account for an alliance character that she uses to find me. She has been finding me and killing me at remote places all around the game. Sometimes I log on, NOT STREAMING, and she immediately kills me in Ironforge. Note I always make it a point to unflag myself but sometimes I port to Ironforge and log off, thus still being flagged. She is griefing me, and stream sniping me. I have been a loyal WoW player since vanilla. She is seriously ruining my ingame experience and I would incredibly appreciate your help. I am disheartened by the copy and paste answers I have been receiving to this problem. She needs to be banned. And this is obvious evidence why. You can watch the past four streams on my channel and find me being killed by her in ridiculous places every time. At this moment she is still camping me as I am trying to scout at Azuregos. Please help.
PVP happens blizzard wont intervene unless it goes on for weeks or longer Best thing u can do is get a group of friends to help take her on or just rember to unflag your self and stop streaming sooner or later they will stop folowing you.
Out of curiosity, according to what policy? They aren’t breaking any rules.
I’m pretty positive that stream sniping and griefing are against ToS. By the way, I have written that I log on without streaming at times to be killed immediately by {Removed}, who is a rogue so obviously can ambush me anytime and anywhere without me suspecting. Unfortunately I haven’t grinded out on my brand new level 60 long enough to have any pvp trinket to retaliate, nor do I have the gear to. My guildies have banded up several times to help me out but {Removed} always runs away/disappears when they do. Its not like I can always have a group of bodyguards when I go farm or go raid. There’s literally nothing I can do as a regular gamer.
They aren’t.
If you are gonna broadcast your position in pvp and someone decides to take advantage of it, that’s on you. It’s the price of being a streamer on a pvp realm or warmode.
If you wanna stream your game with relative ease, then re-roll or transfer to a PvE realm. That’s if you are on Classic, otherwise turn off Warmode.
What a clever way to advertise your stream…
Camping is not against the rules. If this is in retail, then turn off Warmode. If this is in Classic, then unflag (on Normal/RP realms). If you are on a PvP/RPPvP realm, then this is part of what you signed up for. A Normal realm might be a better place for you.
Yes, some people out there love the attention and infamy that come with these actions.
If you are still flagged, then you are fair game to be killed, no matter what realm you are on.
“Griefing” is a very abstract term that generally means “something I don’t like”. It’s not against any rules.
Stream sniping is not something Blizzard can do anything about. This is happening on Twitch, and Blizzard has no control over Twitch.
You are receiving “copy and paste” answers, because there is nothing Blizzard can do for you.
She is not breaking any rules.
One final note before i call it a nite we dont do callouts on the forums its against the rules and will only hurt you more then the other player please edit out the name before a blue does.
While we certainly appreciate that, Lilyberry, our policies regarding PvP have remained virtually unchanged since World of Warcraft was released. The behavior you described doesn’t violate policy. We’re unlikely to penalize another individual for such behavior, sorry.
I’m sorry, Lilyberry, but it isn’t. Getting camped is a viable danger on a PvP realm, it is a risk you run. If you choose to stream, that is entirely on you, we would not intervene.
The majority of “regular gamers” don’t have a stream advertising their location so that others may easily find them. Even so, what they are doing doesn’t violate any policies. I’m sorry. If the perils of PvP are causing an issue I can only encourage you to consider a PvE realm.
