I’m so Frustrated unlocking Highmountain tauren

Hey guys,

I am back! I don’t know what kind of conflict that has happened to this thread lol and didn’t expect this thread would blow up! but thanks to all of you and I don’t know how to mention one by one here in the forums since I’m still pretty new here. Good news! I have unlocked Highmountain Tauren! Alongside Vulpera and Zandalari! The journey for me was quite hard because it’s is very confusing to just follow quests or which quests to take that leads unlocking allied races. Vulpera was the easiest for me though and the first allied race that I’ve unlocked since I only needed to unlock Secrets in the sand achievement and very simple. With Highmountain Tauren, I figured out that I needed to do the “Dark tides” quest in the Highmountain after finishing a questline on the embassy.

I wish it was easy and didnt need to need so much guide unlocking allied races but well I guess I think it was worth it.! Now I cannot wait to make a Druid Highmountain Tauren!

By the way, I am actually from Oceania (Australia) and so I couldn’t really pair my WoW account characters to Wowhead as it only says “US, KR and EU” Maybe it’s still not available here?

Thanks so much guys, I appreciate all of you

  1. I’m not trolling.
  2. I don’t work for the company.

I’m getting notifications whenever I get a response and/or heart, and I read new comments put into place. And see who I can help. In this case, I’m defending the person you were absolutely rude to.

You can move your whisper windows, anywhere. So again, the simpliest answer “yes, there was a Blizz icon next to it”. But, you can’t even say that, for whatever reason :woman_shrugging:

STOP! just stop…

You’re incredibly wrong. No employee would risk their job to troll the most heavily moderated WoW forum.

Really thank that? hmm ok, but i still say something up.

Oceana is part of the NA license, so on Wowhead you would use NA/US.

Seems like everybody’s issues have been resolved, so maybe this would be a good spot to end the unproductive back and forth and let the thread die.

This thread was originally in the General Discussion Forum before a Blue moved it into CS. And, I keep correcting misinformation which includes that Whisper Windows can be moved, and why I mentioned the Blizz icon being essential to proving whispers are from Blizz 'cause no player can duplicate the Blizz icon. That’s what’s helps me distinguish the difference between whispers from players and Blizzard.

Just in case people don’t know that (which it seems like some, not all, do).

EDIT: Blizz whispers look like this

Well, you see this thread started well, got some folks help. Then someone claimed they could not unlock an allied race due to a bug. They were given lots of help and guides - but they insisted it was a bug.

Then they logged in and found the quest they had for over a year and did it to unlock the allied race.

They falsely claimed a GM contacted them out of the blue, asked them to log in on another char, and set up a quest for them.

The current logs don’t back that.

The reality is they started the quest line, stopped, and got lost going back to it. Then made wild claims.

People scream BUG when often the BUG is user error or omission.

Sure there are bugs, but most of the time, it turns out to the above.

Exactly. Have to save face somehow.

“It’s not me. It’s… it’s… IT’S A BUG, YEAH, THAT’S THE TICKET!”

I am looking at the records, Bkwalker, and I’m afraid I can’t find any communication with anyone on either of those characters in the last day. Nor can I see how doing anything on any of your Horde characters would impact your ability to unlock the Mechagnome.

I didn’t say you opened a ticket. I said a Game Master, if they were to assist you like this, would have created a ticket or otherwise noted what they did. There is no record of this interaction, no chat found in the logs of anyone talking to you. I’m glad you were able to resolve your issue, but I can find no evidence that a Game Master was involved.

Also, Game Masters aren’t coders, so they wouldn’t know what a Coding Butterfly or Ghosting, assuming those are terms related to coding, is. Even googling them came back with very little information. I’m not sure how it applies to this situation in any regard since there is no evidence of a bug here.

You completed what on your Druid? I’m not sure what you are referring to. Also, the only employee posting in this thread is me, anyone else you may believe could be is purely in your imagination.

If you mean you completed the The Mechagonian Threat, yes, you did. That is required to unlock the questline to invite the Mechagnome into the Alliance, but you still need to complete that quest line before you can create a Mechagnome.

Let’s take a look at one of the screenshots you provided then.

If you look in your quest log under “Mechagnome” you’ll see the quest " The Current Schematic". That is the fourth quest in the questline to invite the Mechagnome into the Alliance and have the option to create one on your account.

Lilth’s logs show that they completed that quest, as well as the rest of that questline yesterday. You then earned the Allied Race: Mechagnome achievement.

I think you are equating the The Mechagonian Threat" achievement with fully unlocking the allied race. You didn’t receive the “Allied Race: Mechagnome” achievement until you complete the Allies of the Alliance: Mechagnome questline, which you can’t get until you have completed the Mechagonian Threat.

Glad to hear it Wl. Sorry the rest of your thread got mired into… this…

I think it might be best to end this farce and lock the thread. Thank you all for your contributions in trying to clear up the mystery.
