Oh I agree, more people will have Naxx gear this time around. But it’s not going to be 100% or likely even 50% or 25% who are in full Naxx BiS.
Hahahaha sure dude, WoW hasn’t died because addicted fanboys like you keep it alive.
Copy would be bad.
I believe ppl should be allowed to transfer toons. Not copy.
Example 1
let say you copy toon A with 12k gold. Now technically you have 24k gold. Because you have 12k on classic and 12k on TBC.
Example 2
Server population. You are able to copy now you have two toons. So, server A on classic is a ghost town one minute and the next it has Qs. Same thing with tbc servers.
I believe a risk vs reward must apply.
Players choose to go TBC with their toon.
Positive you keep gear and gold.
Negative if you don’t like tbc you wasted your gold and you have to re gear in classic. A positive comes from the negative(ppl will be re-doing classic).
If you just give positive as in a coping. Larger negatives will occur. Population imbalance or unstable, gold double dipping, lack of content being ran on classic, and much more that maybe unseen. Which could lead to more accounts being Unsub.
The only thing I’m sure of is that when BC is released you’ll pretend you never made any of these posts.
I’m kind of on the fence about this.
I like the idea most of both fresh servers (that have an inability to transfer to) for TBC with new characters only AND servers where you can transfer your characters to. I’m not sure about current servers turning into TBC servers but that’s probably what’s going to happen.
Also it is true that if people have to reroll they will all be picking FOTM classes AND we will have way more people playing horde. Every server looking like Skeram isn’t really the best thing ever.
As several have pointed out everything from Classic will get replaced eventually so why does it matter if all of this stuff transfers over? The only thing that does matter is the gold. Otherwise why should people not be able to keep their scarab mount or Thunderfury or whatever that they worked to achieve?
I’m not a fan of TBC mostly because I really don’t like the zones, the quests or the dailies (everything is so ugly other than Nagrand that it is hard for me to enjoy any of these). However I do get attached to my characters, my guild and my servers. So if all that’s left is my guild I don’t know, I guess that depends on how my guild does. I want to go back in and try to actually enjoy it this time with the raids and PVP/arenas but we’ll see. There honestly isn’t enough content in TBC that lets you spend more than a few hours a day playing it either way so I’ll be playing casually anyway.
Either way TBC will be successful but people should be able to play their current characters if they want to.
I mean, it won’t be the end of the world if I have to level again (going Shaman main in TBC too) though I would prefer to do it on this character.
Not even remotely true. You’ll use TF well into SSC, and many other items are used throughout sunwell like Rejuv, DFT, LFG etc etc etc. Even just your run of the mill AQ/Naxx epics will be on par with Kara items at the very least.
Thats not how TBC was launched originally. It’s now how it’ll be this time. If you want private server trash go back to your trash pservers.
I like how people here get immediately defensive when they know that they’re wrong. I’m not even from a pserver experience. I’ve only played WoW through Blizzard, but that doesn’t mean I’m oblivious.
Nobody likes a fanboy. Fanboys are useless.
pot, meet kettle
ungeared warrior mad other people put time and effort into their characters
Far too many people live in a world of fantasy and confirmation bias. You’re a particularly obnoxious example in that you speak in factually incorrect absolutes in the most insulting way possible. The vast majority of wow players were not addicted and quit the game. Numbers don’t lie.
eta: No only did a majority of those who played wow quit but the vast majority of those who quit didn’t go on to play on p-servers. Those who might be “addicted” to wow were a small % of the players. It’s clear if you just look at the numbers.
Hey there, bc baby here. I started on a brand new server in 2007. I don’t know anything about the progression from vanilla because it didn’t exist on my server.
Brilliant post.
That wouldn’t be faithful to how TBC was released.
Fresh severs & Transfer servers
Look how hard that was.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but level 60 greens in outland are better then Naxx gear…
I agree with fresh TBC servers as smashing dungeons with full nax gear is going to be LFR difficulty at best. I’m almost full bis on AQ gear already on my bear tank. I’d love to start fresh and fight the mob to level up. Sure, people will quit over it, but itll be alot healthier for the game long term and most likely have more players start playing the game overall.
Thats literally not true and you’re showing how little you know by saying that kind of nonsense.
Yeah he was wrong, level 62 greens in zangarmarsh are better than naxx gear.
