You could easily include a few examples of level 60 greens from outland compared to Naxx gear to prove you point. But you didn’t. I doubt your claim.
Yea he obviously never played BC and/or hes just talking out his… Go look up The Ring of Blood quest rewards. Those are blue weapons from a level 67 elite quest with several pre-reqs. and they’re about 62 dps weapons which makes them about on par with AQ epics, depending on itemization. Naxx weapons are high 60’s to 70 dps, and usually better itemized, which will make them BIS pretty much until you get to Karazhan which is just about how it should be. There will be a few upgrades you’ll pick up along the way while leveling, usually because of improved itemization or to fill out slots you missed, but this idea that you’re going to DE all your Naxx epics as soon as you enter Outlands is just 10000% wrong. I remember tanking Kara in Naxx gear… I remember running MC/BWL for rejuv, lfg, bindings etc. Blue dragon, scarab and several other trinkets are BIS throughout pretty much all of TBC. You’re just wrong.
This thread is all sorts of cringe people being spiteful simply because they can.
A lot of people here are going to look like clowns when there’s both continuation and fresh servers
Btw i will add that yes naxx gear definitely wont get replaced straight away.
If you’re lucky to get say Gressil, dawn of ruin from KT, thats on par with lvl70 pre raid bis for rogues. Thats your weapon done.
Some gear will get replaced in the high 60’s once you get gear with gem slots.
But if you roll into tbc with mostly bis naxx gear, you will still be wearing half of it going into heroics.
I’m going to rage so hard when they let people copy their 60s to TBC realms
Well … I’m glad you’ve decided it is an inevitability (when, not if), but apparently you’re not waiting to rage.
I only agree with this up to the point of leaving WOW Classic unsullied by TBC content, and having separate realms for TBC Classic.
However, the most authentic experience of TBC is of players at all levels, at all varieties of gearing, those 58+ heading through the Dark Portal to experience HFP, and those below or jumping to the “new” races with their own zones that can get them to around 16 before they enter Azeroth proper.
I suspect there would be much more “rag(ing) so hard” if Blizzard did not provide some means of copying, moving, or replicating existing characters to TBC because there are a significant number who have only been playing WOW Classic as a waiting room, whose entire effort is directed to being ready for TBC (or Wrath in some cases).
#freshstart is a pipe dream, AND a nightmare in the starting zones. Remember WOW Classic Day 1? Week 1? Month 1? That is the mess you want to recreate? No thanks.
As for the lifespan of TBC, they’ve already kind of proven with Phase releases for WOW Classic that it won’t last any longer than it did originally before we have all the content available and the people obsessed with racing to end-game have it cleared.
Disclaimer: I will probably be leveling even more alts in TBC Classic, but I really don’t want to feel like the 80+ days of /played I have so far have only been for WOW Classic. My one level 60 took me nearly two weeks of /played time. So I have a vested interest in not losing my progress to cater to someone who wants to be a mana addict or space goat.
Given all the constant bickering and disagreements, where any movement into TBC inevitably annoys someone, it wouldn’t surprise me if they just put it off entirely.
A very hands-off approach is the safest bet right now, and will be until Classic’s content has fully ran its course for all interested.
is anybody supposed to care or be worried about your threat to nerd rage??
This. At least on my server, raiding guilds are already starting to fall apart. The majority of players probably won’t even complete Naxx, yet alone be fully geared from it.
Copy? There won’t be any copy, it’ll be just like the first time. The server will go TBC and life will go on.
I would like to see a valid source in which Blizzard affirms or even speculates that TBC is coming.
Rage all you want. Blizzard knows if they don’t allow people to carry over their classic characters, more than half the people will quit outright rather than have to level from 1. So they aren’t going to do that. They’re going to do what you hate. Enjoy.
That means this is a progression server and not a permanent one this 100% will make a lot of people quit.
Not gonna happen dude, they would have told this since the beginning you are delusional.
Blizzard knows you people are addicted and have no problems leveling from 1, they also know that doing this extends the time of the expansion. Enjoy.
You’re delusional.
they added new fresh non-transfer servers for every single expansion until warlords. maybe not pandas? don’t remember.
so some transfer servers and some new fresh ones is most likely.
That is my line.
That’s was people spread out over 2 continents in multiple starting areas. Imagine all those people and then some going through the dark portal and into hellfire at the same
Time. Kinda makes your point a little moot.
Oh god no. Let me copy my character. There’s no way peeps will be fine leveling a fresh 70 from scratch especially there mains
Well, will it be that character still? Same name sure but if you were to say yes then its a hollow shell of what it once was.
Do you have the rep, mounts, gold, professions or memorable/hard to obtain items? Because don’t think that you’ll be taking that in this “fresh start”.
Why would you want to play TBC with a fresh start? cause everything in classic is made pointless? Because people have too much gold? Well, i made my gold through the AH, I’ve never AoE farmed, i find the practise mind numbingly boring and sure I’m in the minority when it comes to how I’ve obtained my gold since everyone has a mage farmer now but you know what a fresh start will do to TBC?
Herbalism, skinning, mining.
These 3 professions will make the economy extremely bad, why? Because there’s always a need for them and you can bet that with no leather, herbs, gems and ore in the system people who sell and buy gold will make the prices of them extremely high. It wouldn’t take long to get either, you might say “but AoE is nerfed in TBC” yes nerfed but not killed, we need herbs for the new alchemy recipes, mining for the new blacksmithing patterns, Skinning for leatherworking especially for those drums.
And let’s not forget though the other massive thing that is needed… Gems, gems for Jewel crafting, the profession that releases with TBC. With nothing at all in the AH and if we’re at level 58 as some people suggest, it will be the worst thing i can think of. The only work around to it would be for you to start off at level 1, but people wouldn’t like that would they? Because before they can even enter Outland they’d need to level in Azeroth, but, they’ve already done that, they’ve done that since the start of classic…
The rush to pick, mine and skin everything is going to be insane. it would be like day 1 of classic, do you remember? Fighting for a tag as a level 1 all the way to level 15? Cause i sure do, it will be hell, you competing for a single node/mob with 20+ people, everything is dead/gone and your entire time that you’re meant to be in Outland is spent waiting for a mob to spawn or wandering around for a mining/herb node that has been picked on respawn for hours.
Or, you ignore that and go on with your day levelling to 60 and going to outland in green gear instead of the hard earned epics, go through the dark portal as a new adventurer instead of that character that cleared 4 raid tiers, enter with literally nothing memorable.
If you want to start fresh join one of the servers that’s bound to open come TBC, let the people that don’t want that dumpster fire play with the characters they’ve had for all of classic.
Sorry for the long post and the time it took to respond.
I would “rage so hard” if i couldn’t bring my classic character into TBC.
I wouldnt mind if they had fresh servers as well, but there needs to be an option to continue into TBC with your current classic char
