Maybe it’s just me, but I’m genuinely concerned about Wrath. I main an elemental shaman but I know they aren’t the best in wrath so I’m switching mains to a mage. Problem is that mage just hit 70 and doesn’t have a lot of gear so since there’s no RDF I feel like I’ll be denied for groups especially early on just because I don’t have gear. I’ve seen people on beta get denied for not having certain thing enchanted and that’s just for a normal. I can’t play my shaman even though it is geared with sunwell and BT gear. I’ll be denied for groups because its not meta. Everyone says play what you want but how can I when I’m worried about being denied no matter what route I go. I don’t always get to play with my guild do to personal matters so I just feel kinda stuck.
Sorry for the venting.

you’re not alone, tons of us out there. RDF would go a long way to solving these issues for a whole lot of people.

I’ve yet to encounter these players in TBC, I joined up just before launch because I hated the Mythic+ community I was playing with… Like I said I have yet to encounter those type of players in my TBC server. Everyone takes the time to talk and communicate.
That was incredibly rude. I was no way trolling I am just concerned idk what I personally did to you to attack me like like but I’m sorry.

There will be a lot of people in your situation so you should be ok.
That doesn’t mean that you will always get accepted into groups or that you can’t want RDF but things like getting groups even for non-meta players at the start of Wrath C should be easier than getting groups at the end of TBCC.
A bunch of my guildies are switching mains and my guild plans to help them out (even doing BT/SWP runs in the prepatch to gear our DK rerolls etc up early), I know you said you play at different times than your guildies but if you can play with them even sometimes that should help you.
I wouldn’t be concerned about wrath dungeons. People are only being denied on the beta since the only players getting are high end gamers or streamers. When wrath opens to the general public noone will honestly care about your gear. Keep in mind DKs will be in the same spot as you if that makes you feel better. Once Nax is on farm than maybe you might have slight issues, but I wouldn’t be worried.

Ive literally never inspected a single person before running a heroic.
The game is so easy it doesnt even really matter lol.
Rerolling from shaman is a bad decision. They’re freaking fantastic to play in wotlk. If you liked them in tbc, they get even more fun to play in wrath.
Im specifically leveling mine for wrath. They get so many amazing buffs and changes, and overall just a much more complete class.

Don’t mind him, he is the troll after all.
I agree with your sentiment.
I want to que for an instance and run it. I don’t want to wait for hours only to be told I have one item or some such thing wrong by someone else’s mindset, for which they get off reddit, or youtube, or discord. or. . Well, you get the picture.
For some reason some of the devs think that everyone in the wow community likes the Mythic+ LFG mentality of being rejected for not meeting an ever-moving standard. I for one do not.

Did you want them to say something more? I think you people are all paranoid and have to hear made up scenarios that you fully believe happen. You then find one anecdotal instance and apply this all all things… It’s sad.
You literally made up a scenario where people are talking and communicating
Am I? Interesting I’m not the one saying that people can’t communicate. But here we are… Communicative and all…
Most people have class colors turned on in chat.
Someone posts “need heal and dps for UP H”, you’re a mage and whisper “i can dps”, they know you’re a mage and invite goes out. it’s that simple.
If you’re a shaman and whisper “I’ll go”, invite still probably goes out. once you’re in group, next thing said is “you heal or dps”, you say “heal”, they say, “kk cool”, and proceed to find a dps, or vice versa.
Don’t worry about it.
Lets not blame meta junkies or the religion they live by, lets blame the lack of RDF - cuz yknow WoW the casual MMO which got extra casual in Wrath is still rather anti casual with no RDF.

The whole reason I was switching is because of the meta mentality and my fear of not being able to play. I mean I play an ele in tbc I’m already just a support class as it is. Im not sure why people are being so passive aggressive or just plain about aggressive. about something I was worried about. Man.
Thank you for the feed back from some of you I’ll just focus on what I can do and go from there.
It takes a certain type of player dedication to ever learn how to play WoW… could at no point be considered a casual game.
PAC man is a casual game, Tetris too…
just casually turn on a console and play sonic or Mario with ease…
A PC requires updates and graphics card driver updates and setting up user interfaces and learning the 10,000 functions. Only to learn you needed three of them… not easy.
Yea that advertising for vanilla back in the day must have been some kind of hardore joke.
Umm okay whatever you say.
