I’m concerned

If you dont like being the support guy, i can understand why you dont like playing something like a Paladin or a Shaman. The entire joy in playing a shaman is in it’s support and utility.

Play what you actually enjoy. But dont not playing something you enjoy because some basement dwelling streamer tells you not to.

Shamans are INCREDIBLE in wotlk, but you have to enjoy support classes in order to appreciate their beauty.

Play what you want. Contrary to popular belief most people that play tbc don’t form dungeon groups base off the most optimal comp and neither do most guilds. Sure the top guilds do, but unless you want to Speedrun and push server first kills that isn’t an issue. A lot of guilds in tbc take who they can to fill spots. Do you know what’s worse then running a non optimal raid comp? Raiding with 24 people.

I get your reasoning but I think your point is off a bit.
WoW was advertised as being easy to get into and play when compared to its contemporaries at launch(runescape, everquest, etc). Those games were not user friendly at all and that’s what gave WoW the one up on them.

:100: agree with this. Compared to those games yes. Just not the mindless game players wanted when you start adding in the zone in features?

agree on what its evolved into for sure, there’s so much to keep track of that coming in with no prior knowledge of the systems is very daunting.

It won’t matter what your gear is when you go to the next expansion. All that stuff is dumped anyway. You think the flood of 70 boosts are going to have great gear?
