As a customer who paid for this expansion, I’d like some answers. So my current post in the general discussion, is being harassed and trolled and it was hidden due to the “community demands” what community? You’re telling me the same ten people who go around harassing and trolling others are a community? Just because it has 200 comments doesn’t mean that is the public opinion. I post some very relevant stuff and I can’t get an answer, or nothing sticks out because of the sheer amount of noise. Which, coincidently enough is the topic of my post, to get rid of trolls and toxic people. If I pay for a service, and I have no voice in a forum when I’m very VERY calm and collect despite how I feel about it all, then what is the culture really like in World of Warcraft? What is this game representing when it claims free speech and public opinion, because I found the solution to promote positive interaction between people and my post was hidden from view. Please explain. Keep in mind, when you take power away from the individual you leave him subject to this kind of interaction that could otherwise not have occurred or could be mediated. Unfortunately, that’s not the case, and people act like this because they can… this is not what free speech or public opinion really represents at all, it’s an abuse; an abomination and entitlement. These same group of people follow me around and do the same to all my posts which are subsequently closed as if me, the OP did something wrong, and that’s not the message that needs to be getting across World of Warcraft “ to troll to your hearts content, because free speech here means act like a total … mean person”
First off? You don’t pay for Forum access. It’s a privilege granted to paid subscriptions. One that can be revoked at any time. Two people are allowed to vote how they wish. If you believe someone’s post is violating the Forum code of conduct, then report it for such. Like they’ve done your post.
By the way? There is no freedom of speech on the forums. You agree to follow certain rules.
Normally I’d argue with you and teach you a lesson. Today I’m not in the mood. I’m just going to keep reporting your post. If I’m in luck you lose your posting privileges.
I went off topic in your thread. But I didn’t harass you in it, or any of your other threads, or harass you in any other threads you posted in. If you feel that any of my posts were offensive, report them.
Oh, and the only reason I’m here is because I got an alert with this thread linked in it. So I’m going to assume that I’m one of the ones it’s directed at and yes I will stand up for myself.
Yeah I can’t report but 20 troll instances in 24 hours too! Another weird number which does nothing! Because the solution is giving the OP power to erase negativity.
That would be stupid. And these are not your forums. You have the entire rest of the internet. Open the blog. Post I knew Pinterest. I don’t care. No one does. These are blizzards forums. Their rules. Rules that you agreed to before you could even post. Follow them. It’s that simple.
