yeah i disagree, when you’re beast master your pet absolutely should be more than just an annoying little idiot who can barely keep up. let our pets be badass with unique attacks I’d gladly do less dmg with my hunter if my pet wasn’t just a useless blob that makes me wish Lone Wolf was baseline
I have, but a 200 damage crit is a 200 damage crit, a druid can do that, a paladin can do that, a warrior can do that. What they can’t do is a DoT that can 100 to 0 someone with 1.5k once it gets over 3 stacks without a focused healer.
The other option is to gut their damage so they aren’t a problem ruining the game then. Again when pets are weak everyone enjoys the game. When they have any power everyone is miserable. This goes for Locks too. Pet design has always been bad.
SOD is here to test different idea and philosophies of design. If there is a place to come up with something cool why not here?
There are damage calculation problems which is why the Devs reversed initial nerfs and are trying to figure out what to do. Yes they are bugged and it’s not just the runes.

Its 50 focus and it has no CD.
With our energy regen rune it’s going to pop off for like 600-700 damage in 3-4 seconds.
Happening everytime it hits 50 focus.

this is pretty stupid considering maybe 5% of SOD players are doing BGs, no one else is complaining that our pets aren’t just useless like they typically are in every version of WoW that has ever existed
If the scaling is wrong, if the damage calculations are wrong. That is a bug. They literally are trying to fix it.
It’s fine once the hunters are gutted with nerfs you can move on to gutting warlocks next because they can fear and do DoT’s as well.

i dont know why they are so hesitant to just make all pets good, they are so hands off with hunter pets there is always a dominate pet meanwhile things like tallstriders are literally useless. make all pets equally badass how hard would that be
