Huge nerf to solo/outdoor gear progression in DF Season 1

No one is threatened, none of you solo players have been able to justify why you need Normal or Heroic level loot other than saying you want more because killing things faster feels good even though the rewards provided is enough to comfortably complete all the content available.

Posting in a message board.

We must be “terrified”

LOL no.

apparently so.

That’s the other thing: the beta is the way it currently is. They are the ones asking for a change, and are not providing a justification that doesn’t sound like a sense of entitlement.

We are are not the ones asking for a change, so it is not our burden to justify why the change shouldn’t happen. It is on the person who wants to make a change to justify why the change should be made.

Considering you have 125 posts you’re more entitled than I’m terrified though😂

Good? I mean there’s no reason solo players need to get anywhere near Raid Item levels, or M+ item levels. Its not needed for your content, and if you’re not playing harder content. Shocker you don’t get as good of gear.

im by far the top oppositional poster. Sure. One of me vs 5 of you. And yet, … lol

There have been a lot more 1 off posters in this thread who think this is good than who don’t.

So most entitled of them all check.

Honestly, by those numbers … were I you … i’d be ashamed of myself considering your performance vs litle ol me.

Just as an example, I was summoning heralds in the maw to get one of the rings for a hand mount, that takes 4 players. I set up a group to find it, got some help with that, and by asking in general but it did take a while.

For another example, Ember Court tea quest, need to kill mobs in the elite area of Ardenwield. To make it more relevant, make it during the first patch when Nath was the only raid. If the WQ for that area is up, easy to kill 2 birds, one stone, if it is not up, it can take a bit or be too much for one to solo, and the interest is low as it would only be Venthyrs that needed it and only those that have the Ember Court open.

It gets put in that group content that people feel like they have to do solo for some reason. Think of it like trying to do an end game group quest in vanilla, BC, wrath, etc but at a time when the next patch is about to drop, or all those that were around to start with already have it done and no one is really interested in helping someone else out.

I’m not sure I understand why it matters to you what ilvl gear an open world player has if they’ll never use it to do your content?

Like, if Blizzard had kept up the covenant sets and let open world players have their own “tier” that provided open world benefits at, lets say, heroic raiding level what’s the problem?

This is a WoW problem. The devs have instilled this kind of mindset on its playerbase.

I’m not sure why it matters to you if they don’t need the gear to complete the content.

As it’s been stated multiple times,

Gear is based on difficulty of content. Raiders already have to do solo world content for the ability to raid. If gear rewards are too high from braindead content raiders are required to do that on top of everything else.

That and the fact that if you equalize gear, gear stops being a reward in the eyes of players.

This is the quiet part. We can’t have nice things simply because they don’t want to do our content. That’s it. 100% selfish reason.
That little simple reason keeps all five of the here 24/7. You know. With all that time you have free, you def have time to do some world content.

Since when though. At what point was this established as a rule in WoW. Mythic+ has caused this kind of thinking with the key levels

Did you just intentionally gloss over that part?

In the case of wow, vanilla. In the case of multiplayer RPGs in general, this has been accepted as good design since the 1970s.
