If I give you $1000 an hour for raiding. You raid for 100 hours. You get 100,000 dollars. If you don’t want to get paid for the next 100 hours. You still got paid for the first 100.
That is not the same as doing it 100% for free, with zero pay at all.
You said they’d all quit without loot, but now you agreed that they consciously decide to forgo loot for glory.
So glory is more important than loot.
Hence… if you’re not dense… you’ll admit Mythic raiders wouldn’t quit without loot. The raid might just be boring though, since the last boss would have to be much less highly tuned compared to the first.
Nope, i’ve seen mythic raiders go ape every time anything is even mentioned about loot, let alone the 502934029384 posts when m+ got better loot. LOL, which you both posted in
They cry bitter bitter tears at the merest hint of loot changes.
A lot of us raid for the sense of accomplishment, and to do hard content with our friends.
I view gear as a tool to kill the next boss, and something that will be replaced next patch. At the same time I like now that my character is more powerful because I’m doing harder content with better rewards. The individual items are not that interesting.
World gear undeniably exists, so your “not getting paid at all” analogy is bad and irrelivant.
Just like you did in the world. They are not changing that fact. You still get LFR quality as direct drops, and can get base normal raid +3 from crafting.
You are still getting paid about the same, but your pay is getting shifted from cash to stock options.
Yeah, it’s weird that that one’s accusing us of mental gymnastics when they are ignoring information that counter-acts the main complaint they are supporting.
When players push past 15, they are not doing it for loot. Once I was fully geared 2 weeks into the season, I still ran hundreds of keys beyond loot cut-off. I’ve done over a thousand keys this expansion without even looking for loot.
What Capslock said is accurate. Your argument has to work on both sides, you can’t pick and choose when it applies.
Just want to chime in on this little jab and point out that I actually provided a reasonable argument for open world/solo content above this and it has been ignored for approximately… 35 minutes now.
So while you can certainly sling accusations of bad faith actors and trolls all you want, it certainly doesn’t seem like all of you are willing to actually engage with the discussion and are instead targeting low-hanging fruit to incite an even bigger flame war.
No you didn’t. You just tried to again justify why you should be given high ilvl gear for tagging a mob and letting others zerg it down for you while you watch netflix.
At no point in my argument did I even mention item levels. My argument had to do with Torghast and how Blizzard missed an opportunity to provide actual, meaningful solo content. You’re either not paying attention or you just don’t care because having a decent conversation about this subject would defeat your purpose of flaming others.
