That person isn’t worth your time. Or at least their persona on the wow forums. Best to move on unless you like some written combat.
If you use an argument against me, but say it’s invalid when I use it back as a counter, then you basically admit that your argument was bad.
Oh believe me, I know. But I still can’t help to point out hypocrisy when I see it.
So many people here accusing others of being trolls yet fail to recognize the many valid arguments and points that were made in this thread. Wonder why that is…
I mean, aren’t we all hypocrites sometimes? I am queen of leaving out context, even when I do not mean to.
Still, I do not like their wow forum personality at all.
Absolutely. I think I’d probably be more forgiving about it if there wasn’t such sheer, blatant disregard at play here for other dissenting opinions.
I mean, someone was accused of concern trolling all because they said they care about other players in the game. What is that?
And that’s awesome, so you don’t use it to nuke open world mobs. Perhaps we can make all raid gear default back to top level open world gear in the open world and in PVP. You just need it for raiding anyways.
Can anyone explain to me Why players that don’t do challenging content should get rewarded with comparable gear to those that do?
Because I honestly can’t understand people who want to treat an MMORPG as a single player game.
Implicit vs explicit.
The guy you’re talking to had to switch from his Dwarf warlock because he was building quite the reputation has Rudly.
But don’t let me interrupt your little circle jerk.
LOL
Show me where in my argument about Torghast could I have possibly implicated that item levels should be a reward. Please. Show me so I can tell you how wrong you are.
The whole premise is you wanted gear in Torghast. How do you get gear without ilvl.
Would you really have been satisfied with ilvl 150s in Torghast ?
Again, show me where I implicated or explicitly stated this. All I said was is that Torghast was a missed opportunity to provide meaningful content.
This is actually what I said:
This is what I mean when I say that you’re not any better than the rest of the people you’re accusing of trolling and arguing in bad faith. Rather than approaching the substance of my actual argument (that being Torghast was just bad and needed to be more like a roguelike in reward structure, replayability, and mechanics), you’re deflecting onto the gear talking point that I never mentioned. I am talking about Torghast as a system; as a mechanic and form of content that had an opportunity to be a fun experience and was instead boiled down to a menial chore.
Here :
By not having gear. Right here :
Torghast already had progression through the run and from run to run : The Box of many things and the whole Torghast powers thing. It had rewards : transmog and mounts and pets.
Obviously, if you want “more”, the only left was gear.
Where does it say MMO means you have to group with others? Massive multiplayer online just means open world with other players in it. You seem to conveniently leave out the RPG part. So how many raiders/pvpers actually care about the RP part?
Your just using a worn out raider talking point.
Content doesn’t have to reward gear to be meaningful. Meaningful can mean multiple things. It doesn’t have to default to gear.
Yes. Items.
As in: New cosmetics/toys or abilities that you can use within the confines of Torghast. This is a common system in roguelikes.
Then Torghast was already meaningful and your proposition is useless.
That’s literally what Torghast has right now.
Did you even bother to check ?
Do you not think you come off as abrasive and rude?
Except it’s not because, as I have pointed out to you already, Torghast has nothing in common with the reward scheme of a roguelike.
So Torghast has a system in place where doing certain things unlocks a new boss that is dumped into the RNG system responsible for generating levels? It dumps brand new abilities into every subsequent run that you accomplish so that your ability to experiment with your class is expanded? It has new secrets for you to find in a new run following every successful run?
Let me requote what I stated about the roguelike reward scheme:
So this is part of the reward scheme in Torghast? A steady stream of new unlocks that continue to change up your Torghast playthrough that encourage you to change your approach and play over and over and over?
I think you should mind your own posts and let me post what I want.
Tone policing is what is rude. Stop trying to control me.
Mounts
Mogs
Pets
Abilities to use in future runs
What more do you want ? Oh right. Only gear is left.
The Box of Many Things. The events like Beasts of Prodigy or wtv it’s called.
I can’t and am not trying to control you - nor would I want to.
Putting you on ignore, do the same for me.
Take care.
How hypocritical coming from the person who constantly tells people how they should play a game ect.
