Huge nerf to solo/outdoor gear progression in DF Season 1

The mats drop in instanced content actually.

I honestly think your experience with mplus players are the pretenders.

The 16+ higher group is waaaaaay more chill.

But can be sold/bought on AH?

No, i prefer it when the games does not change from something i enjoy to something i do not.
I think that is reasonable.

I have also said that i am going to try the new way and see how it feels.

It really seems like you want to argue but im not sure why. Suppose it doesnt really matter though as ive no interest in a fight.

New players / under-geared players, and those we want to graduate from world content to pillar content … do not start at 15’s. They start in bronze hell.

WoW devs have been nerfing world content gear for 2 expansions, and 3 patches in a row now. Even the pre-patch event gear is a downgrade compared to what we usually get (should be 278 and not 252).

Blizzard isn’t sticking to a standard to world gear because they want to nerf it to push players into instanced content with premade groups.

Before SL, open world content was in fact an endgame pillar that the devs respected and properly updated each season. This was before they even officially defined the three pillars of raids, dungeons, and PvP. The whole purpose of officially announcing the three pillars may have been to make it clear that they are no longer supporting world content progression and want to get people out of it.

But when you don’t enjoy it, you prefer that it changes again to something you do.

Blizzard doesn’t design the game for “Mortiz”. It has a large player base.

You don’t have to reply to my posts.

If you don’t want to discuss something, don’t. But don’t accuse people you’re discussing with of just wanting to “argue”. By that token : so do you, since you’re arguing right now.

Yes. Im sure if they changed the game so that your content was no longer fun or rewarding youd have a few words on the topic yourself.

And i will not be any longer

To be fair, you are rather confrontational. :love_letter:

For me, the closest to the key I’m doing who has at least done it on a similar level. The way overgeared one is more likely to get mad when I screw something up.

Funny, they always managed it back when wow was at it’s peak.

The how much of this is a real problem? If everyone’s overgeared and fotm, how many people are actually left out?

If it is a big issue, where’s the chill play whatever you want community? They can have guilds, in game communities, discords, friends lists… Use the resources available to find folks to play with.

After tremendously buffing it from what was available prior.

They went too far, it caused issues, they are dialing it back.

Good, I prefer that that be accused of “arguing for argument’s sake” on a discussion forum of all places.

That’s not fair, since you’re equally if not more confrontational.

If you can’t stand discussion taking place, don’t go to discussion forums.

Easy concept.

So then what kind of content do you want? What constitutes as fun to you? Because every time this discussion rears it’s head it almost always boils down to “I want really easy content that gives me great rewards.”

LOL, brd runs for blueset back in the day were a massive trainwreck.

They want easy 1 mob kill quests that reward normal raid ilvl, and doing 4 of them for an emissary to give them heroic raid ilvl.

They’ve said as much many times.

solo players: “we want solo progression to give us something to work toward over each patch/season”
blizz adds that
solo players: “no this takes too long”

solo players: “we’re not asking for mythic gear from helping turtles make it to the water, we just want some gear progression”
blizz adds that
solo players: “no the gear isn’t good enough”

WoW devs should be adapting their product or service to suit the changing needs of gamers, rather than intentionally creating friction in their product or service in order to make the gamers adapt to it.

WoW devs think too many players have been doing world content instead of the three pillars, so they are nerfing the rewards to manipulate the metrics.

I adore you. And I can be confrontational. But that doesn’t mean I’m gonna leave that guy hanging. I agree with him.

The entire premise of a video game is creating friction, so that the player can overcome and get a dopamine rush out of it.

What you want seems to be more a movie or series. I hear Netflix is filled with frictionless content.

Just because “casuals” choose to do world content in lieu of everything else does not make it a “Pillar of End-Game”. You keep referencing Ion, when he is the one who said there are three forms of end-game: Raids, M+, and PvP.

They’ve said it in roundabout ways. I want them to actually vocalize it. I want the rest of the community to see, in not so subtle terms that the vast majority of “open world” players want nearly afkable content and earn BiS gear from doing it. That is their ideal world.
