Huge nerf to solo/outdoor gear progression in DF Season 1

I think the night fae garden might be the worst content in the game.

Grind out like 30k anima (back when it was super scarce) and then plant a seed, wait a few days, and maybe youll have some recolored transmog. Probably not though.

I couldn’t care less about solo/outdoor gear progression but that’s mostly because of how blizzard treats it. I love playing solo in diablo 2 diablo 3 etc… it’s a lot of fun but it seems WoW is not that kind of game. Sure you can play solo and reach max level solo but the main parts of the game are always multiplayer (M+, Raids, PVP)

While I would like it to be meaningful because I do enjoy solo/gearing since it hasn’t been strong for a long time I just don’t care. It was weak all of Shadowlands too so I don’t really know what the point is in making this thread. Not bashing you just saying that it’s been this way for years so this isn’t news and blizzard doesn’t really seem to consider solo/outdoor content as endgame and it seems like they never will. The most outdoor endgame content we’ve had was probably world bosses and they’re pretty lame at this point (too easy).

WTH are you talking about. What world progress did TBCC even have ? Heck, what world progress did WoD have ? Apexis gear ?

Legion started rewarding world play.

There is not going to be any personal loot in any difficulty of raiding, including LFR, even as an option. It is going to be a modified group loot system (not the old master loot system).

The modified GL system, with open trading is ML with the extra step of trading it to the loot master.

Accusing someone of concern trolling is just a way for someone to discredit your opinions simply because they don’t align with theirs. It’s impossible for them to actually think about the game beyond their own benefits so any person who does is clearly just a troll.

What an awful system. I do LFR for transmog, am I now gonna have to steal loot from people who it’s an ilvl upgrade for or will I just not be able to roll at all? What a mess.

I am used to it.
But in shadowlands it felt like they were going in the right direction.

At launch it was pretty bad, korthia was decent, ZM had the best gearing system.

Maybe dragonflight will follow the same pattern

Yes, it’s going to be awful.

Hopefully, we will be able to earn the LFR set appearances in DF through the Inspiration Catalyst, like we were able to do with Sandworn Relic gear in Zereth Mortis.

Blizzard Clarifying How Group Loot Will Work in Dragonflight & No Weapon...

Accord to the above blue post, you won’t be able to roll need on an item if you have the exact same piece at the same item level. So it seems to me as though you will be able to roll need for downgrades that you don’t have yet for the appearances, but sadly you may end up depriving someone of an upgrade.

ZM had the best gearing system.

ZM was just random drops. Why is it better than say Nethershard gear in 7.2 ?

Which leads to everyone being over selective, and putting a giant roadblock to getting new people geared and ready to learn to tackle higher level content.

Higher level content isn’t where you go to learn. You learn by working your way up. I skipped mplus entirely of season 1. I had some friends that were high key runners that would carry me through one key a week but told me I needed to get better.

I started at the bottom and worked my way up in 9.1. I didn’t just start at 15. I did all keys at 5s then 10s then 15s so I could the dungeons and the basics.

The people complaining about not having high enough gear won’t do that.
