I feel bad for some of the elitists who are blinded by their ways. I knew someone that got to almost 5k io one time. He was so proud. I was so, not proud. He was extremely over weight, on all day and night, living with parents at an embarrassing age. ALL THE TIME, his life was WoW. I was like, does he not see he is a joke to most people? I had pity for him not pride.
Context, I love this game, I sometimes play too much. I love an eat, sleep, WoW day. I want to start doing more, lmao. But, you gotta get irl under wraps and have achievs and things you’re proud of IRL and not keep putting it off. I’m still learning myself.
Blizzard needs to get with the times. Unfortunately, I have history with WoW but there are MMO’s that MMO way better. There should be no issue or complaints if ppl who solo have a path to gear. I think almost anyone would agree banging out ez keys w/o all the affixes is quick and not hard. I just don’t wanna do them.
And again, more than gear I just want fun events to go to throughout the year in the world and more love put into the holiday ones.
One of the most memorable things Everquest used to do way way way back was have a dev personally play a miniboss in the open world, who would drop unique loot as a one off.
My college roommates at the time would launch into a flurry. People coming out of cupboards, the kid on the couch would stir, just to try and log in.
I get that stuff is hard to do at scale, but it was pure magic.
Things like that help the world feel alive.
Incentives on world quests and the like … gear upgrades, keeps the world filled with people.
Titanforging for all the hate it gets, kept old raids and instance content relevant and filled with people.
I hate loggin in and the only people around are sitting in major cities, waiting on a que.
Agreed, I would absolutely love for them to refresh holidays more often like they do their expansion highlight core systems.
