you realise you can only do a world boss once per week. What do you propose a person does after the 1 minute it takes to kill a world boss? Go find another game to play?

You can only do the fated raid once a week.
Run keys, PvP or try the new affixes in the Fated raid that week.
I hated the idea when it was on the poll and actively campaigned against it. Now I’m actively not getting it because it’s ugly. Although actively and passively trying to not get it is kind of the same in this context.
since you are rejecting the premise of some people dont want to do just m+ or raiding. I say you better go get every pet battle achieve or you are nothing but hot air. You will love the pet battles just like you think everyone wants to raid, or wants to m+.
My game time expires in october so you have plenty of time, I will watch your achieve points fly upwards, get battling!
They can choose not to do it. But that’s what it is : a personal choice. It’s not a failure on Blizzard’s part.

Considering how awful Shadowlands was, I thought it would have been a nice gesture of good will to let it become attainable through any raid difficulty.

The problem is when it’s limited in time. The mage tower being permanent does not diminish the reward. But it allows a person to not feel like they will miss out forever if they don’t get it NOW NOW NOW.
Mythic mounts don’t go away, and someone can eventually get it much later by going back to the raid. And that’s a pretty exclusive reward.
Got mine quite a while ago. Then I got the Heroic title. Now I am done with raiding until Dragonflight(if I buy it, still on the fence)

I felt rewarded for engaging in the world content. I could upgrade my gear, buy conduits, get sockets. It was fantastic.

Well, according to some people arguing over in the solo thread its because there were a bunch of people complaining on the forums that Korthia upgrades took too long.
Waiting on a friend to do it together before I get it.
