How would you bring subs back up?

Quality over quanitiy, and add pvp vendors honestly his reasoning not to add them are dumb. And also really respond in depth to player concerns and show them I mean business not just “we hear you”. I think it be healthier if cm’s and game devs were more involved in mega discussion threads.

I know there’s a secret Feedback forum for players who give college A grade feedback where they can talk 1 on 1 with the devs. I think if it was read only for people who weren’t invited would calm a lot of the storm going on in the forums.

I get that blizzards standard is not to show us till things are set and stone, and of “quality”. But after blizzcon I don’t think anyone cares about that anymore and has lost a ton of faith in blizzard.

Nice imagination you got there bud. You’re supposed to list ideas to bring the sub number back up. Not talk about the state the game is in. 0/10 reading comprehension.

Improve the combat. Faster pace. More “action” abilities that impact movement (non-filler; ie: Bloodthirst won’t lounge you forward).

Healing specs get more external buffs or offensive debuffs. (ie: Apply a slow to an enemy)

Caster DPS specs can cast while moving, but move 35% slower while casting. Themed to the spec itself, all casters gain a “lunge” type ability that allows them to escape danger while casting. There is a cast time penalty (0.3sec added to cast). Caster DPS rotations make use of channels for filler, and their heavy-hitting spells are cast-time based. (Healers get the same type of movement spells as casters.)

Melee DPS all gain a “lunge type” attack if they did not already have one. Colossus Smash, for example, causes you to jump to the target’s location if you are outside 8 yards (15 yard range).

Every race gets the Floss dance. – JK.

Honestly their housing was just flat out amazing!

I know, I worded that in 3 different ways but had a feeling you’d misinterpret them all, so I just posted it.

I find the farming relaxing and therapeutic, but end up with piles of gold with nothing to spend it on; so I’m happy to exchange it for game time and feel it was a good addition. Those who neither want to farm nor buy it are often the ones opposed to it (probably because they’re forcing themselves to do something they don’t want to, and if they have to suffer through an inconvenient chore then so should everyone else in their mind? That kind of thinking just makes a game worse.)

You must be fun at parties.

I’m guessing “Lounge” is “Lunge”.
Either way, interesting ideas.

Free level boost to 110 and 2 unlocks for the allied races of your choice.

All that for a 6 month sub.

I would also unlock BfA flying to everyone that has completed pathfinder pt1. right now.

Question: How would you bring subs back up?

Answer: Drain the ballasts?

Am I being to literal again? Sorry. :smiley_cat:

I wouldn’t do anything because if I did you’d all complain about those changes too. Doesn’t matter what they are, some of you will complain no matter what.

I’m surprised they didn’t start working on a Wow2 years ago. Now with Classic coming out, it would be even more appropriate.

Stop catering to children, BFA is like the disney channel’s attempted at world of warcraft. Seriously try to keep your core before reaching out for children and Sjws. Bring back PVP vendors all of which are based on our dear friend Ion and maybe Kill off thrall, Jaina and Anduin. last thing I would accept that the game is a Horde story and stop adding equal content to the alliance. I mean like 20% of the game is alliance why does 20% deserve equal stuff.

  • give everyone at 120 flying, no gating , no tricks, just buy it for 10k gold

  • make the professions cool again, by making all of them work with each other, by madding matts from all to make good stuff, (black smith a cool sword at 370 but you need leathers, gems, herbs , ore and a few potions)

  • up the reward system in islands in a big way, make the drop rate huge for the mounts and pets, make it worth doing instead of grinding for a week and getting nothing

  • in crease the world quest rewards 3x over, none of this 50 war resource junk, make them worth doing again , period

  • bring out a new 40 man raid that requires us to split into 4 groups of ten, then 2 groups of 20 , then the final boss all 40 , and bring actual class mechanics to that fight, where range and melee have a job, healers have a different job and tanks hold the line , make it epic with cool things happening in the background, and push the graphics on this fight to the max

  • make in game voice a real thing , as soon as i get into the dungeon or raid , i am instantly connected to the group

  • make mythic runs viable , non of the D3 scheme garbage, either make it hard and worth the reward or dont

  • ban people for selling runs for real money

  • bring the community back together with community events

  • bring back the legion weapon system and class halls, there was nothing wrong with them

  • make our garrisons even better, i wana go back and use them, and build on them , but put it on my own ship in the harbor, let me send out 30 of my guys to farm stuff for me, i liked that

  • remove level scaling, i’m 120 and ilvl350 , 3 mobs in the world should not be able to kill me

Like others have said, bring back actual meaningful gear. Also, remove iLvl because that just makes everyone view each other as a number and not a player. Remove the stupid phasing and separate RP servers from the rest like before because we don’t care for tryhard pvp servers entering our safe space :joy:

I’d bring back Arthas Menethil first of all–and keep him as a primary villain out there in the game for the rest of its tenure (never, ever, kill off a good villain).

I’d restore 40-man raid content.

I’d remove Mythic difficulty across the board, and only have LFR, Normal, and Heroic.

I’d get rid of ALL achievements that require multiple people to complete, the only achievement that should matter is what you the player can accomplish.

I’d stop offering loot that gives out insanely high numbers so that a squish is necessary every expansion pack.

I’d put a cap on the auction house that’s way lower than what it is right now.

I’d offer flying on Day One of every expansion for free–we all paid for it in the Burning Crusade for 400g/5000g respectively.

I’d bring back the music team that composed World of Warcraft Classic and World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade. How is it that music from 2004-2007 is more atmospheric and engaging than the entire Battle for Azeroth suite? Don’t get me wrong, BfA has some great tunes, but the repetitiveness is insane when playing great tunes over vs. an immersion soundtrack–like Eastern Plaguelands original music, or Felwood’s original music, you get the picture. Drustvar’s music, although great and well composed, is extremely repetitive. Stormwind City’s music, although excellent and well composed, is extremely repetitive. We don’t need a FANFARE everytime we zone into the city. Now and then is okay, but why everytime?

I’d bring back the RPG elements of MMORPG that Classic and TBC had.

I’d get rid of War Mode and have PvE, PvP, RP-PvE, and RP-PvP servers again.

I’d get rid of CRZ.

I’d get rid of Sharding.

I’d get rid of Phasing in all forms.

I’d get rid of linked and cross realmed servers.

I’d merge the servers to suit the less than 1 million subs population we see today in North America. We don’t need hundreds of servers.

I’d require people to have to travel to a Battleground entrance to play in a Battleground, and offer a higher reward for their efforts.

I’d offer high rewards for engaging in World PvP, true World PvP, not instanced or phased.

There’s plenty more, but those are the basics.

-Reverse GCD change.
-Introduce a new 120 talent tier, all the talents are former artifact talents
-Bake some more artifact talents from every spec into the spec again
-Fix the sharding/phasing
-Island expedition objectives are more diverse, doubloon rate is more consistent, vendor has a few more items that drop.
-Warfronts… honestly idk.
-Azerite gear has more available choices per ring; now instead of picking 1 of 2, you pick 3 of 5 (or 2 of 4) per item/ring .

Was it as good as Star Wars Galaxies open world housing?

Give the community exactly what they’ve been asking for instead taking shots in the dark or playing bullseye blindfolded.

I wouldn’t mind that. You’d start off in a big, unknown world where areas of the map were blank because you don’t know what’s there and can’t access it until further expansions are added.

I’d have a set of basic classes with diverse talent trees that could be used to build your chosen class into a variety of playing styles, and the talents are achieved through levelling. The levelling itself would be slower, none of this 2-day rush to cap; achieving the highest available level would be a real achievement.

It would build its lore from day one as your noobish young character woke and went out into the world to discover its story and build a place within it. You would research its history, discover its places and create your own story as well through multi-choice questlines.

Wants it now, Precious…

And I’m saying that’s not happening, bud.

You could bring back the pre-Activision dev team from 2004, give them a modern game engine and a 500 million budget, hire Shigeru Miyamoto as lead game designer while at it… and it still wouldn’t bring home 12.8 million active subs.

The (alleged but probably real) decrease in subs from Legion to BfA is 100% on Blizzard’s bad decisions and rushing out the expansion, granted. The steady decrease in subs since Wrath is most certainly not entirely on Blizzard. Mists of Pandaria and Legion were pretty damn good expansions, comparable to Wrath, and they didn’t steer the subs back in the positive.
