How to: Write threads requesting things

Suggestions that you don’t agree with are NOT troll threads. Do you even know what trolling is?

I obviously do. My threads don’t get shut down. Try reading the forum CoC and what it says about spamming duplicate threads and you might actually learn something.

Well maybe stop report spamming every thread you don’t agree with so that they don’t get shut down so that someone has to make a new one?

You go ahead and troll all you want. Blizzard created the report function for a reason and it is obviously working as intended. I’m not asking for any changes and I’m quite satisfied with the report system.

So basing my logic off of Vanilla WoW, the very core and basis of Classic WoW, and the center point of my logic, is illogical to you? You’ve now just ruined the entire basis of your argument, unknowingly as well.

I didn’t ask for your opinion, or anyone’s opinion who wants changes, because here’s the news flash, it will never happen. So ironically enough, yours and Vakul’s opinion especially, does not matter, because, not only did a CS Agent explain that you are wrong, but that the major and core thread, the very one you are fighting for, has been closed twice. Not seeing this is blind ignorance biased by your personal opinion and thoughts that hold no weight in any rational discussion.

A good majority of players agree with me, ask someone. Comment on a video. Donate to a streamer. Walk up to a stranger. Ask them “Is transmog good for vanilla?” and you will see how much of the vocal minority you truly are.

Thank you for debunking your entire argument for me, all by yourself.

I don’t know where people get this idea Classic is different to Vanilla. A official Vanilla server is being referenced in house to recreate Vanilla and rebranded as WoW Classic. They are recreating an exact replica of Vanilla WoW.

It’s the same logic that someone uses when they say:

If I went to GD and “suggested” that transmog, flying, and other modern systems be removed from BFA, I would be trolling. Because I know that those “suggestions” are absurd and will likely not be taken or implemented. And also, I know exactly the kind of reaction I’d get out of people over there.

As I said, anyone who has done any amount of reading on Classic knows what the spirit of the project is, and what the acceptable range of suggestions is. Until you can give me a better option for flagging those posts, they are spam or trolling. End of story.

It gets tiresome to say the least.

Eh, asking for features to be taken out of the game is very different than asking for features to be added. People ask for features to be added to Retail all the time, like adding flying in to every xpac (they also ask for pathfinder to be removed). In actual Vanilla, the forums were used to ask for features.

Asking for features is normal for a video game, even if the game is a remake. I love AoE II, but I’m glad it has better matchmaking. Vanilla is the direction, but we can make a few pit stops if it makes the journey easier.

It’s almost like people that play retail but never played Vanilla come and see this new WoW Classic game and think “Why would people not want to have Transmog, WoW token, Barbershops, Character boosts, Name changes, Flying(yes i know), and and other random thing. I should go suggest it on the Classic forums!” Yet having no idea where it all stemmed from nor why anyone would want to go back before all those QoL and other features retail has. It’s like some people think it’s unimaginable people be against it. It’s unfathomable.

As I said, there is an acceptable range of suggestions. 1.5 AV? That’s a suggestion (albeit also a dead horse). Transmog? That is trolling.

OR a lot of us played in classic, that’s actually where this druid was made, and rather than the same thing over again, are interested in seeing it as improving on itself

OH, I get it now. The only acceptable suggestions are the ones you personally agree with.

Is it a very stark change? Yes. Is it trolling? Probably no, if the person was serious. There is no rule you have to ask for something that Vanilla already had at some point. AoE II added four new races to their remake.

When the foundation of a game hasn’t even been finished yet but other people come in messing with that foundation of what made Vanilla well Vanilla. It makes for an really bad foundation to start out on. Like some Disney cartoon of a bunch of Goofy’s running around trying to make a house. It just doesn’t work that way. In my opinion, let the game be made like it was in the early 2000s then suggest ideas to the messes that play it after release. At least then you will have a much bigger audience to the ideas you present and might be welcomed later down the road.

you feel that way but the 100,000s+ of others may not once the game is released. Just sayin.

THIS is how you respectfully disagree with a suggestion

I do really understand how you feel, I have also wanted Classic servers for a very long time. Vanilla is what I grew up on. I have a few very big fears for the community, however. One fear is that Blizzard will continue to roll out servers for additional expansions, which will remove the shared social experience that made WoW great. We’re not all going to agree on the best version of WoW, but the fact that we are all playing together is, in my opinion, more important. I feel the same way about Classic+

The other fear I have is that if we do not suggest a limited set of changes, then Blizzard will take their own guess at what players want to see or will be monetizable, which might take the Classic servers and ruin them.

That is why I have tried to think of ways to incorporate features that will essentially be innocuous to people who do not want them, like toggleable transmog, or a barbershop that doesn’t affect gameplay.

If we don’t ask for these things now, Blizzard will come up with their own road map, and there will not be enough time to gather support and reach consensus when people start leaving Classic because we’re out of patches.
