How to make Alliance faction popular

It’s alright, it’s swung back to Alliance now. Dwarf racial and NElf racial are really strong, well they always were. We just had BElfs busted racial for a long time lol.

Outside of that, I feel like Alliance and Horde are getting pretty equal in players now.

This post is not about high end gaming.

This post is about how visually lacking heroes are in Allaince this is a fantasy game.

Racials mean nothing. Unless you are dwarf.

Mostly agree though mythic plus past portal rewards is my end game blind spot. I would argue with cross faction it really doesn’t matter anyways.

I think the only reason why there are still two factions is the same reason why the default bag can’t be replaced. It would break the two decades old spaghetti code.

Completely agree. There’s no wall left, so it’s really the only thing that makes sense. Unless they just want factions for Nostalgia purposes.

Alliance is the only right pick as we’re the righteous side. The horde side is ugly and boring with a big boring city.

Wha

Everybody is already Alliance

Better racials for keys, pvp and raiding doesn’t matter

Seriously?

Have you not seen the male undead dance?

True story: When I saw the Undead dance on the TV commercial waaaaaay back in the day it inspired me to play, and my 1st toon and my main until Legion, was an Undead Priest.

If I could make an Undead Pally I would trust me.

Okay, okay…I now finally see your point, took a minute…you know thinking back and all, so bringing something similar in appeal to the Alliance could indeed bring change.

Fun part is coming up with what I guess.

I’m going to have to defend the visual appeal of Draenei (including Lightforged Draenei). They’re equally as cool looking as the Night Elves, IMO. Same with the Void Elves.

Draenei (including Lightforged Draenei) deserve some love

They tried to equalize downward by giving Horde the Vulpera and honestly it was a solid effort. Unfortunately even the cringiest of uWu couldn’t reduce the Horde to Alliance levels of lame.

No your post was about how to make the alliance faction popular and your proposal is to give them visually appealing and lowkey toxic masculinity aesthetics (must be big, strong, dominant, conquerors, etc) and I explained how that isn’t at all why the Alliance rapidly lost population and became an all but dead faction…it 100% absolutely was because of gameplay decisions as I explained above.

And short of an alliance racial being buffed to absolute wazoo levels of OP AND content being tuned so unfairly that all but demands anyone/everyone with any kind of mid tier or higher content aspirations switch to Alliance JUST to get this racial, it will not change ESPECIALLY now that even guilds are cross realm.

Just to prove a point.

IK I don’t have “high levels”, but as the OP states:

I don’t do that, and if we’re just talking about:

I think the Draenei (including Lightforged Draenei) are visually appealing.

I have a LF Draenei Pally which I thought was cool until I saw the red skinned regular Draenei, so I rolled one yesterday and used my boost, super cool looking, very happy with life at this time.

Thing is I did the red skin quest a few days ago on my LF having just come back, and got a toy at the end…holy cow level I almost lost it, re-read the quest info and saw I needed a regular one, felt like an idiot but hey, all came out in the wash.

Dwarves, Humans, Elves (of all flavors but mostly wood, high and dark), Orcs and Minotaurs (Tauren) are the epitome of early Fantasy barring a few exceptions like D&D/etc.

Yeah, I’ll get that one eventually. Right now working on unlocking the red elf eyes, first. Then, I’ll move on over to the red skin Draenei.

fully agree - i have only created a male Draenei but was so put off with their weapon size that i benched him and deleted him.

Visually that race was good but man those weapons are bite size on them.

Why not bring back the same fantasy through Valajhar ?

Can I suggest Furbolg?

Give them a proper player model and I’d bet they could be quite fierce looking.

He can probably only be druid or Chaman.

We need plate as well if you really want popular uber levels.

Furbolg are known for their warriors and hunters. Their leaders tend to be shaman or druids. Majority of them are warriors/hunters though.

You can read more here on em. (shameless plug)

The problem is most druids who dont have the legion skin will swap to Furbolg.

Including me, this is not popularity. This is just jumping the ship.

You need excitement, and new heroes. I was thking of KNoll as well but we want them in Horde too.

I mean they could, that’s a Blizz thing though. We’ve asked for specific races 10’s of thousands of times, at the end of the day Blizz makes the decisions and clearly that’s not something they want for the Alliance. (As for why, no one knows anymore)
