How to get 12 million subs back. Step by step guide

Nope. Wouldn’t happen. Gotta love all these armchair developers and CEO’s of gaming companies though.

Well they could get the diablo team out of my wow game and hire a team that knows how to make an adventure game for immersive mmo game. And no 100’s of mobs on the road as I travel is not immersion, that would be diablo slaughter fest game.

And no one will be playing.

Current talents/spec system is WAY better than before

Azerite gear gives you a lot of flexibility.

Vendors system for gear is just boring.

25 raids ? lol ? Guilds are straggling to get 20 people to show up.

Flight at max level ? lol how to kill your own game. What next ? Remove reputations and automatically grant exalted to everyone ?

its to late for that wow is in its downhill phase.

You disgust me!

Well, the way I see it :

Before : Wowhead. => best build=> press 70 times to place your talents

Now : Take whatever. You’ll be fine. At least now we have gameplay choice.

This sounds great. Too bad blizzard doesn’t listen to it’s player base, or like making money. :frowning:

I just died a little bit inside :sob:

Well, only speaking for frost mage.

I spent 1 hours this weekend trying to adjust/tweak my build. All results were really close (+/-10% dps. Ranging from 18 to 22k ST) (3 minutes test, no lust)

At the end I just took “whatever” talents and tested again (Literally I took a dice and rolled for every talent). I got 19k. So yeah, you can be better, but mostly : same

Lost me completely at 5. High Elves are already playable in the game and the Alliance has a version of them, no need to give them a second one.

I don’t agree with this one. Rep grinds are not fun, but it totally makes sense how you would gain trust with an allied race through rep until they trusted you enough. It does not make sense for other things like flying. What does rep grinding have to do with your mount suddenly remembering to fly again?

  1. Remove titanforging

Omg, that’s funny! No need to ready any further.

That’s the #1 thing blizzard can do?

Really?

Hmm now my curiosity is piqued. What would you recommend, if anything, the #1 should be?

Get rid of the raid/PvP/Mythic+ plus or die mentality.

Honestly, I don’t think anything is going to bring the game back to its heyday. Every product has a life cycle. After 15 years wow is past its peak.

No game has had the sustained success of wow.

All the vitrol in these forums about the game dying because of x largely is just people venting.

I think the game is settling into a steady state level.

However, moronic comments like the op’s make me laugh. To think the #1 reason millions of people quit the game is titanforging is like screaming the Earth is flat.

I think you hit the nail on the head here

12 million subs will never happen again, the flavor of the month crowd have long since moved on first to MOBAs, and then to Battle Royales. MMOs just aren’t as popular anymore.

Nice necro.

There is absolutely nothing Blizzard can do to get back to those numbers. That era was pure lightning in a bottle thanks to South Park exposure. WoW is back in the niche it spawned from and that’s where it will live out the rest of it’s days and that’s perfectly okay.

Throw Pokemon Go into the list and you will have summed up the state of the game quite nicely.

There will be no, numbers like that for any mmo’s the market is saturated…when wow was at its peak, the only true Competition in 2008 was everquest 1 and 2…

The new generation of gamers are really not attracted to MMO’S…the 16 to 27 somethings like FPS…and consoles the Attention span of most new gamers and mmo’s are not Compatible IMO

I’ve said it many times Mmo’s are dying they are in their twilight years (now i am not saying they are dead) …next big thing will be VR in about 5 to 10 years am guessing…
