Adding vulpera would decrease the numbers because people dont like furries

My motivation died when they added ilvl scaleing plus why go tru hell when i can just get geared via warfronts, event quests and world bosses more then enough gear from them to play out in the world and of course LFR ftw!

OP- ‘here’s how to bring back millions of players!’

Also OP- ‘I’m going to make a list of things that would bring back a couple hundred hardcore players and make a million casuals quit’

1- TFing is the only way for casuals to get better gear, remove that and the first time you get drops from LFR, you know full well you will never get anything better- boom, 90% of the playerbase quits a month after the raid.

3b- will effect 0.1% of players, not bringing back any of the millions who don’t mythic raid
3c- master looter was a boon to top end mythic raiders- and the bane of casuals as well as any trials for heroic/mythic raiders, so basically semi casual players looking to become more hardcore. Putting it back will again, benefit the top 1%, piss off everyone else

Some of the other things might bring back a few people, but none of it is going to make more than a small increase. Perhaps high elves would be one of the bigger things; but ultimately if you don’t enjoy the game as it is, having blood elves with blue eyes isn’t going to bring millions of players back.

If horde get vulpera I’ll quit.

Five million subs left BEFORE WoD. We went from 12+ million to 7.1 million in the 2 expansions BEFORE the WoD expansion.

Then the launch of WoD boosted the sub count UP by more than 3 million in 1 quarter. Over the next year WoD lost that 3 million we had gained IN WoD.

That makes no sense. Why would it “bring back subs” to duplicate the rules we had during the time that we LOST FIVE MILLION SUBS?

You can fantasize that we lost them during WoD, but that is false.

Yes! Exactly this! I would resub instantly and I would be completely addicted to WoW once again!

The real answer is go back to counting every person who bought 1 hour of game time in China as a “sub.”

That’s how they got 12 million in the first place.

Replace vulpera with pretty much any other race and this list is pretty good. I’d mostly perfer Orges, but seriously i’d take about anything other than Vulpera.

The truth is, the only way wow is truly fun is when everything is done with guilds in 40 person raids the requires every class to play separate and specific roles. The problem with old wow which was the best wow, was that it’s not feasible to put so much time into the game everyday without destroying your own real life.

After classic and into BC, the players had to do real life…school, jobs and families.

Wow would never be the same, especially after the unnatural breaking of the progression, replacing our great purples with greens. All that effort down the tubes with every expansion and changing talents, rather then letting skill develop.

Nowadays people buying expensive gaming computers want WOW in VR. i know plenty of people who only use phones or low budget tablets for computing.

Grinding in wow does nothing to make a player feel like they are in the story or part of the lore.
Grinding to a level is stupid now. Makes everything feel artificial. Top level should have stayed level 60 and stronger and better, would mean more skilled. Instead it became level and gear ilvl. anf RNG…Not skill, not immersion in story.

Ultimately, for a person to spend lots of time in wow, they would have to make an income as a career. by playing. There is only so much time in a day.

The only way I can see them ever pulling those numbers again is by significantly improving graphics, adding nude skins and “custom interactions”, and making it VR compatible. lol

For someone that hates BFA you sure post alot with a active account makes me think lol! Fyi wow doesn’t need alot of subs anymore to keep going ftw ingame shop, services and to a certain extent wow token plus the money is up not down with the investors ftw! only thing that matters.

Eh. They’re not getting a dollar out of me until they give something to RPers.

Titanforging didn’t start in mop, thunderforging or what we know as warforging did. what people mostly don’t like is Titan forging, an ability that GREATLY skews loot warforging should be considered a compromise by both parts imo, they already took steps in this by removing the ability to titan forge from weapon drops.

Yes, please! I actually miss using my talent to cut gems for others :sob:
