Nobody is forcing anyone to purchase a dual spec either. So if y’all don’t want it, its…
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
…actually could have, but it’s more ironic this way.

“minmax meta slaving” sounds like a kink.
Is Qbert kink shaming?
the difference is TBC doesn’t have dual spec
so i win
thanks for playing
…yet.
it didn’t 15 years ago.
it won’t now.
boosts and store mount do not compare
you think dual spec is a simple change but it isn’t
the end
I know this is hard to understand but some people really only play a few hours a week. From their point of view, farming for an hour or so to play a couple BGS feels bad.
Even players that have the gold often refrain from experiencing other content because 100g adds up (once a week, that’s the cost of an epic flyer over the course of a year play time).
It’s almost like spending more time farming gold than you will spend in that spec is a bad time investment for most people…
Most guilds raid 2 nights a week. Thats respeccing 4 times a week at least, if you PvP or have a farming spec in between, you could be respeccing 6 times a week. Thats 300g, 1200g per month. It adds up. Its not about being poor, its about it being literally too expensive.
What are your raid days? Tuesday / Monday? Most guilds raid 2 nights a week… Tuesday Thursday… that’s 1 day that you have to be in raid spec, Thursday night - Tuesday afternoon you can be in whatever spec you want to be in.
Were people this meticulous when they were arguing against the boost?
wahhhh
with all due respect, these people shouldn’t be playing an old school MMO, which by definition requires a significant amount of time investment.
you know what doesn’t? retail
“Due respect” almost sounds like “Dual Spec.”
We’re living rent-free in your mind!
And that’s assuming you only respec for raids.
Where as someone who would like to do BG’s, do dungeons and open world stuff could easily find themselves respeccing far more often.
That’s a consequence of the decision to try to optimize your character for everything you do in the game. Let them do it.
I would question why these people would do something knowing it’s a bad time investment.
No it’s not, it’s decisions to participate in multiple areas, the whole reason dual spec was added in the first place.
Gated content is to some extent definitely causing boredom. But I still think if t5 came out at launch, people woulda just blazed through it and be waiting on t6 instead, and t4 would have been a non-tier
You don’t have to respec to “participate in multiple areas.” Dual spec is little more than a shortcut for people who want something without putting in the time it takes to get it. You want something for nothing.
The people who think dual spec is about cost are wrong. That’s not what the topic is about at all.
It’s about convenience and making tanking more appealing to players who play classes that can tank.
Or You could just make it so people can’t do it inside dungeons and raids.
Because heaven for bed Is tanks and healers can actually farm.
